I just don't like the sound, you don't have to be a good singer to make music, see Kiara.

But idol music in games can cover a huge net of genres, I love the gothic idol songs in idolmaster for example and its not a sound you really get outside of idolshit as far as I can find at least. But we never get those outside the extremely rare occurence, and a big generation/company song will never be anything except the generic light hearted idol songs. And I don't think any vtuber goes with the whole gothic esque sound for the original songs and its really disappointing to me.
