None of those clips are really that different from how she is now. If you're going to divide Kanata into current and old in a way that could completely change your impression of her, you'd have to go back to late 2020 meeting hell/car accident break. Everything after that was pretty much steady (although bumpy) progress into becoming more self-confident and emotive (and sexy). That said, liking Kanata today more than you did yesterday is always a good thing.

Honestly I'm curious what's been going on with Kanata's schedule lately. Obviously she's busy but if it's all for her upcoming live, I can't remember it ever being this bad when planning her previous lives to the point that it affects her schedule this significantly.

To be fair, we know for a fact that they always talk so it's not exactly news to say "they're talking behind the scenes". And the menhera thing seems to be recent since Marine streamed today because she was being menhera, plus Kanata ended up sharing the story anyway. if you mean in terms of collabs and stuff of that nature then yeah, I agree that I'm hoping for collabs but with Kanata's schedule it seems difficult since she seems to be sticking to member only streams, PowerPro and occasionally 1-hour stream if she has time.
As far as Pokemon goes, as much as I'd love for a 2nd attempt at the race now that they have a better idea of the intricacies and how people might respond, it's not worth it if they're gonna get this affected by negative comments.

This is might count as a rant but I've been pretty conflicted with Kanata's streams lately. Objectively, I'm still enjoying her streams and her content yet at the same time I'm feeling very lukewarm towards them, I think it might be due to the lack of more "interesting" (not quite the correct word but can't think of a more fitting one atm) plans like collabs and the lack of more unusual solo stream stuff like utawaku, the mixing streams etc. Definitely doesn't help that there's a lot of collabs happening while Kanata is seemingly doing her best to collab as little as possible.
I'm not sure what the point of my post is to be honest, maybe a mix of venting and asking for other heimin perspectives on this topic. But it is a weird feeling of enjoying the streams themselves yet not being particularly hyped or looking forward to them since more often than not it's just more of the same.

I think the problem was for years previous I would watch about 8 holos about equally, then after Kanata rose to kamioshi for me I would watch an 80-20 split between Kanata and "everyone else".

It uh worked itself out in the end I guess. I only split 50-50 between Kanata and Pekora. Pekora for the content and Kanata because I just like to hear her talk. It helps that I came to enjoy Rust and Powerpro probably.

If I were to give advice it would be to just not watch what you're not interested in and view support of Kanata in the long term. As in if you look to a year in the future at all the things that might happen I really do think it's going to be exciting. But don't wait for it just around the corner.

The thing is, I almost 100% agree with you. I don't blame her, I know we won't know the reasons for a lot of things and I can even understand how her solo streams have become limited to the same few things.
My one major disagreement is her reluctance regarding collabs, if only because she has mentioned multiple times this year that she wants to reach out to other members and do more stuff with them and to improve on that. I'm not gonna pretend it was some sort of promise or something, but it was a goal she set for herself that she kinda failed at, plus it's gotta be somewhat difficult for other girls to approach her for collabs when she's seemingly busy all day and only doing solo streams. Not to mention stuff like Kanata going solo in Rust and not getting into Splatoon where members are constantly collabing.
Even these stuff I can understand to an extent, it can be hard to break out of a habit and your comfort zone if you've being doing it too long. Hopefully the fact that during her space a lot of heimin brought up the fact that they've missed collabs will spur her to reach out.

We've been through heimin reminding Kanata of things quite a lot of times, it all depends on her in the end. Rust was such a massive exception and it clearly shows Kanata can get invested in something. At the same time we can just interpret it as lack of interest in other things since it's a first since 2020 ARK, but it's not like it's a secret that Kanata isn't all that interested in gaming.

On one hand I enjoy watching things she enjoys and I have no problem with her just streaming those things, on the other hand we get the kind of post-Rust schedule she has right now, member streams and powerpro. I'm prepared to see only that for a while to be honest.

Last year was pretty similar. Her hera levels kept increasing as her anniversary live started getting nearer, until she finally exploded a week or so after the live. It's not that, it has to do with Kanata's track record of getting helplessly addicted to open-word survival games to the point where they take over her channel. Just recently she admitted she became a 1-2 game streamer for almost 3 months and that heimin were telling her that they got tired of Rust, only for less than a month later for her to start what seems to be "Rust but worse" and with seemingly no interest from almost every holo. Personally, I wouldn't consider it the worst thing if she got into it but if it gets to the point of Rust I'd personally be pretty disappointed. Just have to wait and see.
