The cost of art / rigging is absolutely fucking insane and has been rigged by a group of artists / riggers to make them a ton of money while preying on indie vtubers.

So here's the truth that will save you money:

Your rigging doesn't really matter
Your art doesn't really matter

You and your content matter.

Don't empty your wallets to predatory artists and riggers (run from Iron Vertex), focus on making actual good content first and people will come to you even if your avatar is a stick figure.

Rigging takes a bit more work than art. If you know someone who can draw okay art, they can make a Live 2D model, but they probably can't do rigging.

The problem is it's very, very basic animation to the point where if you've even taken a high school course or something on animation you can easily do rigging, and there's almost no different between $200 and $2000 dollar rigging.

Your stream was fun! Games are good for zatsudans I think you lingered on the pause screen for extended periods of time. Bioshock has a very drab pause screen but if it was Persona 5 then that very stylized art looks like a very cool background. Going afk in Hotline Miami was cool because the visual are so cool as a background but the more mundane looking games are a debuff for just standing around.

Bioshock is a pretty cool game, so maybe I'd try finding a cool looking landscape or something to stand around in while you chat instead of just going to the pause screen. If an enemy sneaks up on you while you're talking that could actually make for an interesting moment on stream!.
