The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

>Do you think there's an audience for X, Y, Z content?
First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

I'm relatively new, only done 3 full models so far, but art+rig in a full model I'm going for about 500, simply out of sheer time demand.
The prices can go lower for what I've seen, in fact half-bodies tend to be a lot easier and cheaper; but the problem is the rigging. Rigging gets a lot more expensive very quickly based on the quality of the rigger.

I've read this too. It would make sense for a few reasons. but I'm not convinced of it just yet. With this theory in mind, I recently tried downloading a video via yt-dlp to see if it counted as a view the next day, but it didn't. Maybe it would count if it was downloaded via a bot or something that more directly acts as browser, like Puppeteer? It probably matters whether it stays on the video watch page like a normal viewer, rather than using the API. In any case, I hope you're right. To add to this, and I know this sounds really basic, but find someone who has a model you like SIMILAR TO YOURSELF, and go to their artist.
If you don't want a robot, don't go for whoever did the art for Ibero. If you don't like furries, don't go for whoever designed Leon.
If someone only does loli models, don't go to them asking for a big bara dragon, even if you like the rest of their work. Better to find someone who does good art in the right style, than great art but the wrong

I'm considering moving to twitch but I still have some questions on their credit system. I read the bits get automatically paid after 15 days and they don't detract anything from them because it was already paid by the supporter.

Is this right? will I really get 1 cent for every bit? do I need to approve the payout after 15 days or it's actually completely automated? what happens if I don't connect a bank to my account though? will they accumulate?

You need 100 (Or 50, depends on region) dollars to withdraw any money you made from twitch, it can be any combination of all twitch revenue sources (Bits, subs, etc). As for bits specifically, for the person buying they cost 1.4 cents per bit bar bulk purchase discounts which aren't much anyways, and the streamer recieves 1 cent towards their balance per bit a viewer donates to them (I.E. a 20 bit donation will contribute 20 cents)

Went through /wvt/ and seeing posts about me is weird, especially if it's a negative post, I need thicker skin asap because I feel the need to reply to every single one of them. I'm scared that the only people who ever showed up to say hello are groomers or people just asking for free art. I don't like that just being in a discord that I haven't read or talked in has given me a weird reputation. I'm scared that I've already fucked up everything that I can do and more.
The only thing that's keeping me from making a fool of myself and trying to explain myself to every anon is the fact that I checked my numbers.
I wanted to avoid looking at them for so long but seeing that I have a bunch of followers, so many more that I imagined is actually so fucking crazy to me. I'm not ready to see my ccv but seeing that people actually decided to check me out and even follow hit me harder than I'd like to imagine. I saw 38 followers and holy shit this is one hell of a feel good hobby, I'm gonna try to stop looking at the numbers so I don't get worried but I really want to thank /asp/ for the push to get me to do my first stream.

Honestly, the "dont look at your numbers" advice is mostly for males that basically right out of the gate have extremely low to no growth and little to no viewership unless they are good at networking. If you have great numbers and a lot of consistent growth feel free to look at numbers all you want, they can be quite comforting. until you stagnate, which happens to everyone eventually
