So how would you guys have gone about writing Zen out of Mel's lore video long enough for her to progress the plot but without removing her completely? If Zen is upset about the direction her lore has gone (having her own story resolved in someone else's lore video and becoming a side character in her own character story) then should she have been in the video at all?
Her original objective was to stop Melware, but when presented with a Melody who was not yet evil she chose to keep an eye on her and wait to see what happened. Then Melware appears and a minute later she's dead. Melody ended up basically beating Melware herself with no real assistance from Zen outside of running from some mechs and the power of friendship ending the struggle beam. Her illusion of saving her own timeline didn't even pan out because Melware told her the truth. In-character, this leaves Zen having failed to stop Melware on her own and having failed to save the humanity she originally fought for. She's now a cyborg displaced from her time with nobody from the future to look forward to and dishonored from losing against her one target in the past. She's effectively been written into a dead end - unless Merry were to continue her story by having her combat geckos but thats... a little less high-stake than what Zen seemed to have been setting up originally.
So what do you think should've happened? What do you think she might do next?

How to fix lore:
After future Melware takes over Melody's body and reveals that she killed all of the humans in her timeline, have Zen actually put up a good fight, fucking up the drones and robots trying to get to future Melware.
After Melody and present Melware make their truce they would then appear to try and help Zen as holograms, of course Zen see's present Malware and gets distracted giving future Malware the opportunity to fuck her up, this time not with a single car, but with bullets and rockests and shit, THEN the car gets thrown at her to add insult to injury.
The story then continues as normal after Zen's body is broken, but now have Zen's arc throughout the video be that she's learning to trust Melody again while also having to trust in present Melware too.
Later when they get pulled out of the internet by GunRun have Zen be there with them and chooses to help them too, returning her to her now repaired body, where she rushes to where future Malware is.
Vei loses her fight due to her not being abel to transform into her strongest form like the original, but this time she stays down, she's only able to summon a single thunderbolt that distracts Malware long enough for Zen to cut her down from behind, allowing Melody/Melware to blast through her sheild and turn future Malware to ash.

I was banned so I missed the discussion earlier but I really doubt Zen's mad over getting killed in the lore video as opposed to the way it happened. Maybe she just didn't like that it was so graphic even if it is undone only a moment later. Maybe Zen wanted to establish that she had white blood like an Alien robot or something else like that which the lore video undermines. Seeing a script outline and reading "and then Melware takes out Zen" that gets approved only to not be happy with the way it happened makes more sense than not knowing she was going to be murked by Melware at all.

>Her new arc, is basically go into the search for Present Melware to try and reason with her, which ends up in Zenware.
>Dragon Zen comes back and sees what the fuck happen
>ALA Zen still exists somewhere, hiding since ALA is a hidden organization for now, and slowly growing due to Future Melware incident, and they decide to create a CyberZen of their own, fixing any sort of Paradox of Future CyberZen

This is good, but arguably takes it from a Melody lore video to a Melody & Zen lore video which, while necessary to handle both their characters, maybe isnt what they were aiming to do.

Also, how do they even explain Zen getting a new body in-universe or even out of character? By Zen's own ref sheet, she isnt a robot. She might have augmentations but if her main body gets damaged she gets fucked. That car obliterated her organic hips and thighs at the very least and with the amount of blood that came out her internal organs were probably destroyed. Even if her consciousness can live on her body is absolutely fucking gone - you cant just make another human body to augment for her to use. She started as a human girl and became augmented THEN downloaded Dragon Zen's memories. She isnt a body hopper.

I doubt anyone even records nyan anymore but if anyone does have a live recording of the first nyan vod of today please upload it somewhere (gofile.io works pretty well for free users).

My recording setup was fucked due to twitch fucking over EU users for like half an hour so my vod is missing like the first 12 min of music, its not a big deal if no one has it but it doesnt hurt to ask. I do have a live recording of the second/third vod though as twitch fixed it again so i do have the complete audio for that vod, its just the first one thats missing 12 min of music in my archive.

It makes more sense for Mel to be the one who ultimately takes down Melware

Melware has always been Mel's villain, and an internal struggle with outward consequence. If Zen is poised against Present Melware, then she can only be a support for Mel.
Future Melware is an abstraction of the conflict Present Melware represents. Zen has a grudge against her but they aren't "the matchup." It's still Mel's villain.

Failure isn't a dead end.

If it were me writing VShojo's lore, at this juncture I would take Zen to her lore roots.
This hasn't been addressed AT ALL, but when she redebuted her Project Z3N bio revealed that he consciousness IS Dragon Zen.
Dragon Zen still exists in the canon, so I would have Z3N seek out her other self to find new purpose in this era.

From this point, I'd set up a conflict between Dragon Zen and Gecko Zen, who has invaded from another dimension. No, Gecko Zen isn't a particularly serious villain, but the key is that they have dimensional travel and in their desperation against our Zens, uses it to recruit Commander Zen.

Project Z3N is a character who is devoted to justice, a true hero type willing to sacrifice it all for the good of others. Commander Zen is the antithesis, a war criminal and a very good one. I wouldn't make it a huge thing, but I would drop a bit of self-doubt in Z3N like "could any of her be in me?"
Anyway, Commander Zen would betray the geckos and subjugate them into a slave class to build her autonomous war machines (her army is made of cold steel which will also function to parallel Z3N).

This is just off the top of my head and obviously isn't a whole storyline. But that's the general direction I would take Zen from here.

I personally like where Zen ends up after this. A super fighting robot from the future who's now aimless with her ultimate goal achieved. Reminds me of a comic I didn't like but had a cool premise that takes place after the world is saved and the ultra powerful hero is now aimless in a world that doesn't need such strength. Could lead to some very interesting interesting storylines.

Alternatively Zen goes on a training arc after this until she too is at the same level as final boss Nyan and full power Mouse.

In Zen's lore video its said that granny and grandpa found Zen as a young girl - presumably a fully human girl - but obviously she did not stay fully human forever. Under what circumstances she got her limbs replaced is unknown. The downloading of Dragon Zen's memories was stated by Zen in her debut stream I think as a hand wavy way to explain why Zen is a cyborg now but has all the past memories of Dragon Zen. Technically not canon, but if we take her own statements as facts and feats then Zen isn't indestructable at base. Her suit conducts energy that forms a shield around her, protecting her from harm.
