Not really, though she’s probably spent a good amount of time after the stream criticizing her own performance because of course she would though I’m assuming the comics didn’t get finished until they were up against the deadline which would explain why the voice acting for most of the episodes felt kind of aimless, you could tell she was internally cringing about using a hushed tone when the situations in the comic called for something more panicky-sounding.

Bae said they were asked which roles they wanted and I think Kiara confirmed it and they were basically just told to do the lines as defined by those roles. Like Kiara chose the happy carefree character and was told to do her lines as such but wasn't told about what the story actually was. Yeah that’s why I’m tempted to believe the comics themselves were finished up at the last minute; it’s one thing to try and interpret how you should interpret how to deliver your lines when you only have a script in front of you, not much you can do if you don’t get to look at the comic beforehand to see how your character reacts in certain scenes. I think she did a good job despite the lack of direction, but hopefully there were some lessons learned for everyone involved in this so if they do something similar in the future, it’ll have better direction on that front.

Yeah if it was something that was largely done by just the girls and the involved artists, it wasn’t too shabby, though it does highlight the usual grievance of EN having to cobble stuff together on their own for the most part because they don’t get access to the same resources JP does. Most obvious thing here being the lack of a director or at least the girls having access to the comics ahead of time so they could more record their lines in a manner more befitting of their particular scenes, though EN unfortunately has to deal with that handicap of everyone living all over the place so there’s no central location where they would be able to go to a recording studio and get the kind of feedback this particular project would benefit from.

I guess it'd be ideal to not make compromises, but prioritizing the quality of her singing during a singing stream doesn't seem like the worst thing. It happens often enough that a Holo does something like stand up in the middle of a song and they suddenly sing so much better everyone gets all excited. And like you said, it's a karaoke, they're supposed to be pretty casual. Also, she mentioned that the first song she tried it was one of the few times she actually felt decent about how she sang.
