Yeah, it was my first year into vtubing and Pekora caught my attention with her MGS playthroughs so I had her as my oshi. After some time passed, while Peko herself didn't really lower in quality in anyway, her fans definitely did and it really soured her streams for me. Around the end of the first year, I've been catching myself watching Luna more often then Peko. I thought nothing of it for the first few months but my enjoyment from her streams just continued to increase every week. I'm now a 1year 8month old Lunaito, still going strong.

I switched from Ame to Gura. The improve youself comment was what tipped me over the edge, but I have felt like she didn't appreciate her fans like she used to way before that. Gura was always my 2nd favorite, so switching to her only felt natural. I definitely made the right decision, and I am very happy with Gura, but I still catch myself missing the good times I had with Ame.

It makes sense. Fauna is my oshi, but I've watched Ina a fair bit too.
I don't foresee me swapping from Fauna though. She's committed to Hololive long-term and knows what her audience wants.

I moved from Ina to Rosemi to Sava and probably will get sick of the hobby instead of getting 4th oshi. I like the first months of new chubas before they become tired/used to the routine and just go through the motions. Sava seems really excited about streaming and earned a lot of my respect for being an artist but also reasonable person at the same time so I hope she stays the way she is (looking forward to streaming for us) for as long as she's around.
As a sidenote, it's weird how one day you just wake up, turn on the stream, realize after 10 minutes or so that hey it's not for me anymore but good luck i guess and just switch the channel without looking back. I remember concernfagging for Rosemi when she debuted and now I don't even know if she's back from her break (?) or what she was doing.

Think of it like watching a movie, and for its duration you're immersed in the setting and care about the characters as if they're real. Then when the movie is over you return to your real life. You can still dip into that world whenever you wish, but there's no need to go digging into the lives of the actors involved.
Well, whatever floats your boat. There's no "wrong" way to enjoy this medium. I'm just saying that I vastly prefer to remain mostly ignorant of things going on behind the scenes.
