Yeah, end game is the kids and Vox figuring something out to make sure they can all be a happy family together forever. Until then Fuuchan has to wrestle with the fear that his inability to let go damned his kids to some sort of hellish half life. She wants to be a real girl so badly, she can feel the pain when a blade cuts across her arm, but no matter how much she tries, no blood draws from the wound. Just an empty, hollow cut. One day Fulgar sees her bare body, covered in nicks and bumps, all self-inflicted. He breaks down and cries over the sight, and she reassures him that it's not fault, but he knows deep down she's just saying that to make him feel better. I was thinking about it in terms of her not being able to do/experience 'normal' kid things. So yes, her not being able to eat or sleep or feel things in the same way other kids do. Is it really living if you can't do all of those things?
