Anyone else randomly stumble on small vtubers with low views and just feel really bad for them? Why is this? I don't feel bad when I see a normal channel with low views. It really puts a downer on my mood.

It’s because you care more about vtubers than non vtubing channels, being used to hololive and bigger vtubers then seeing small ones probably makes you feel bad for that reason.

lost me there, not a saviorfag

It's a bloated market, there's so many vtubers now since they've gotten popular almost everywhere. It's all for money in the end anyways, if they got shit views, an indie, and still streaming daily, they probably are just building some "experience" and maybe one day apply to one of the big vtuber companies for a better pay

Take the indie pill anon. Girls just as sweet as Hololive but without the corporate bs.

This. The ones that are exceptional will succeed. The bandwagoners will fall to the wayside, forgotten. Don't feel bad for them, lament their lack of talent in their chosen craft.

Why would you feel bad for them? It's an overbloated market precisely because it's an absolute low-effort-earn-100k-a-month kind of dream job. And let's not forget that that incone is coming from depressed losers.
99% of people who do it only do it for one reason, to hopefully SOMEHOW make it big and make bank off of simps.

Essentially its like feeling sad for some twitch whore who is not quite attractive to make it in the "stream yourself sitting on a beach towel" genre.

Do you feel bad for Veibae too? Because she's pretty much exactly the kind of tuber people in this thread are talking about: Low effort, hates her supporters, talks shit constantly, but is still hugely popular and rakes in the bucks every stream. She's the kind of streamer that shouldn't have hit it big... but for some reason did.

>>3601839
anon he's talking about the ones who aren't getting any views whatsoever but still stream 9 hours a day. i've seen plenty of those and it is pretty tragic, especially when they've spent a lot of money on expensive art and rigging only to get sub 20 viewers on average.

I'm subbed to someone who's streamed for 2 years but have no viewers. I saw her music from Azki's indie showcase but when I saw her livestream, there was no one there. When I typed the only Japanese I know, she smiled and answered me. I was sad that I only know a few JP words. I guess I am now a saviorfag.

fuck i meant to write 2 viewers, 20's not bad for an indie

>> No.3603043

no i don't feel bad for them.
they know there are like thousands of vtubers already, they need to do more effort and be unique and different, and the chance of getting big is like a lottery.

>> No.3603161

A lot of it is perspective. A lot of of us are used to Hololive numbers when the low end is like 3K at once. Most indys would kill for those numbers and a relatively big name like Pikamee only gets like 2-3K on a good day. I know I watch a Indy that gets 20-30 maybe 50 for a big event and im only there because she tried an English youtube ad and can read/understand some English. I feel a little bad for her and I know she would like the numbers to be high but she seems well aware shes a small fish and still has the best time she can and thats a great part of her appeal. not to mention its nice now and then to actually be able to see chat and get answered outside of a Red supachat

It's not necessarily about getting into a company. For most streamers you need to put in a lot of time streaming to a small audience before you get your break and take off.

Becoming vtuber for money is a shitty idea anyway, just like becoming a professional gamer or blogger. Most of chuubas you see probably do this as a hobby, becoming a professional YouTuber is a thing if you're talented AND hardworking AND lucky.
