The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

>Do you think there's an audience for X, Y, Z content?
First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

Vseeface is pretty much the standard one for 3D tracking. It's free and has custom features for pimping up your model.
Technically Luppet has better leapmotion tracking, but Vseeface is free and will allow custom shaders and animations.

Because things take time. I've been working on my design and 3D model since April and it's not close to done. Finding a suited artist to commission a design, then finding a suited artist to do the 3D side. And that's not even talking about the effort of rebranding a stream and coming up with a hook / idea for the streams.

No lol. Only the artists that can’t manage their time properly or do inappropriately. That or they have a queue for models which isn’t really a problem for 3D especially most of the time. I would give them over a month at most. Don’t get strung along, clearly lay out your expectations on delivery and expectations that you can cancel the request anytime and be refunded anytime before delivery.

Assuming it's just for vtuber tracking, get a Logitech C270 HD and an LED key light if you don't have much light in your streaming area. Camera tracking doesn't depend too much on quality, but lighting makes a huge difference.

Six times more expensive than a Neewer arm, looks plastic rather than steel or even aluminium, the design looks too weak to reliably hold a mic in perfect place outside the overhead position (mic below the arm head). I would never trust this thing with an expensive or delicate microphone, ever, not that it's likely to hold a heavy mic in the correct place anyway.

Also I was originally making fun of using something with an internal spring design, they are awful because of how easy it is for them to simply not be adjusted properly. Sometimes the best designs are the ones that are harder to fuck up during reproduction. Kind of hard to fuck up two springs splitting the same load in half that don't have to be wire loaded like with a normal scissor arm rather than these tube arms.

Oh and I knew I was forgetting one, I hate the circle designs on arms, because we don't apply torsion forces to tube arms, we push against their sides, meaning we want square tubing to protect against bending. Round tubes don't give you more material away from the neutral axis of bending (sort of the centre line running longways down the tube), so they are poor at this. Yes I know this is a big arm with a lot of material and it's probably got a reinforced structure, but this is still a cheap piece of shit that uses plastic including around the joint areas which are near the springs.

2. All plastic body. Yuck, should be steel. Look at the joins, base clamp and the hand turners. Hand turners are usually plastic but you can see they all look like they’re the same material. The arms are probably just a different kind of plastic, I wouldn’t trust this design with anything heavier anyway.
3. Weak design. The arms and joints are seperate pieces completely instead of being half and half with the joints. You can see the seem that runs across the arm above the joint, when something running along the joint from the top and bottom would be more robust.

Just buy something on brand like one from Neewer, and a normal external spring scissor arm will have defects out of the box less often than a tube style.
