No, people shit on her for her stream frequency (similar to what is happening to Gura right now). "No streams" is one of the standard nijinigger angles to shit on Hololive ever since HoloMyth mostly stopped streaming consistently, and there's also commies who think making money efficiently is evil (plus the usual bandwagen shitposters).

But her quality was always very high. There's a reason she can dissapear for months and then come back to 20k viewers for regular streams and 100k+ viewers for her event stream. Ayame has a great model and talent as a vtuber, and an insane synergy between the two. I don't think she'd be as successful with another holo model, nor would another holo be as successful with her model.
