Vimeo is a piece of shit, so it dropped for like 30 minutes and I didn't notice, so I'll have to rerip it once everything is done. Fair warning that for her privacy, she has even the 1080p stream blurred down to like 144p instead of keeping it to camera angles that cut off her face like she did on the last one. You can still see what she's doing perfectly fine and the music is beautiful, but whenever I post it, I'm sure someone is going to ask how I fucked up the encoding.

This is the first time I didn't get any loading issues during a live event thanks to them using a more global platform.
I usually have problems with zan and spwn.$
zan drops the stream for minutes or chops up often parts of it with loading times and needs to be reloaded a few times durign the stream.
Spwn is better but can't keep a high bit rate for long and drops down with some loading to the lower one.


Compared to not being allowed to watch her live event because of a Japan ID limitation this is a lot better than other solutions.
She made an effort to allow us to watch this even in the best possible conditions.

Yea, I'm not complaining, especially after the shitshow that was Hachi's live and in the context of missing out on her previous live. Vimeo was mostly fine, but it did throw me a couple of network errors that required refreshing the page but it only cost me a couple of seconds of watching the stream. I've never had any issues with Zan, but I've only watched single digit number of concerts on the service so maybe I've just been lucky.

It may be something with my internet provider or country, but I always have the same problems with most japanese streaming platforms.
The network connecting me to zan does not seem to be stable with a high throughput.
spwn has a similar issue that it's not able to maintain a high bandwidth for a long time.
Using a vpn from Japan does not seem to change the problem.

A VPN into a neighboring country may be able to change this as it seems the problem is between my internet entrance and the path towards Japan.

If you like the show, really consider buying a ticket for the archives so that she knows that it's worth it to make it available for the oversea fans in the future. There was only ~180 people watching the stream according to Vinmeo, so while I'm sure there are some people who're gonna watch the VOD, even a handful of foreign sales is probably a noticeable percentage.

Also, I'm not an audio autist, so if I need to grab it again since there's a better codec on Vimeo, just let me know and I'll see what I can do. yt-dlp was throwing http errors about not finding any fragments when I tried to grab it, but Vimeo has a built in download function that worked.

Kind of interesting, if not very surprising, how the message in this song is so similar to that in canopus, about her decision to keep striving forward in the face of adversity, but with the contrast of canopus being more about her internal struggles with who she wants to be and the stardom she wants to have, while the new one is much more about how she finds validation in her fans and all the support they give her. It's fascinating to see how she approaches the same issue from different angles depending on which persona she's writing for, letting out more of her angst and dreams as AZKi while trying to be more hopeful and thankful for what she has as nayuta.

It was like 3, and I was one of them, but acting as though doing concerts as AZKi would sell incomparably more tickets is quite retarded. An example point of comparison would be HACHI who had 1.2k in her crowdfunding + however many in the ZAN stream, vs La Priere's 2.2k participants + additional sales since unlike Hachi the majority of plans didn't come with a ticket to the show, which you certainly wouldn't expect if you were to look solely at YT viewership for those two. Who knows how Vimeo calculates numbers and if they're at all accurate since it's been shown time and time again that YT, Twitch, and BLBL are all completely retarded and arbitrary in who and what they count. Maybe the VOD viewership is much bigger then I would expect and the majority of fans don't worry about catching it as a live stream since it's happening on a workday. The point of bringing up the possibly low viewership wasn't that she's struggling for money or needs help, it's that she's likely to make her content easier to access as an overseas fan if she sees a return on that effort and she's not some massive performer where the normal 4chan piracy audience size wouldn't be noticeable in her demographics.

Wow, a whole bunch of people showed up to a free concert with massive starpower as guests after being collected for her by some of the biggest streamers in the company. Meanwhile, of those 70k viewers, she only received 5k USD in Superchats, which is one of the nigh infinite demonstrations of the fact that YT viewership is a meaningless statistic unless you're engaging in horsebetting in #. How many of those people would have decided to purchase a ticket to a paywalled live? And before you give me the 'but she had her merch' cope, she also had merch for this concert as well and you can see literally every attendee bought it.

Could she do better at retaining viewers by being more active? Certainly, but that has never been her modus operandi and instead she has music output that's unrivaled in Hololive in quantity, regardless of subjective opinions of the quality of it, while also participating in more external and solo paid Lives then then any other member and probably the entire company as a whole if you exclude the VARK Cinderella Switch events. She's decided her path to success isn't in the form of becoming a daily streamer, but instead curating her content to largely be either collabs or high effort streams like practiced karaoke, and despite retards who insist she was unprofitable for her time in INNK and Cover was just throwing money into her black hole, she was massively successful as shown by her ever increasing the size and prestige of where she conducted her Lives before Covid took a baseball bat to that method of growth.

At no point have I mentioned money or profit, my point is that big Hololive events or promotions are golden tickets to expanding an audience relative to the opportunities that a smaller chuuba might have. However it's a good way to only attract good and positive people.
When you start to advertise you run the risk of attracting more negative people who were attracted by the advertising instead of the reality and if there is an inconsistency it either won't last or cause future issues.

The people you attract by being the real you without trying to force it through advertising are going to reflect this and this is healthier as they align with you.
