Twitch aims to discard all your contents eventually. Look at all the partner streamers changing their names into accounts of likely dead people. YouTube is funded by papa Google and they don't seem to mind keeping 0view nobody channels up for eternity despite inactivity. Think of twitch as kind of like a live sports channel on tv. Think of YouTube as a archive. YouTube is like a vault or a bank. Twitch is like a stadium. They are not the same. A vtubers content can be expected to be kept for safe keeping forever in YouTube. On twitch everyone leaves the stadium after the show. VOD viewing is better on YouTube. On twitch viewing vtuber VODs can be difficult especially on mobile apps.

i think of twitch channels as services. youtube is more about actual edited content and twitch a place where viewers can hang out with the streamer. people do overly long streams that were never even intended to be watched fully by anyone but work fine for random drop ins of chatters that want their dose of human attention

She watches the VODs because she doesn't want to be perceived. She's kind of a big vtuber, and wants you to come to her on your own without any outside influence. She spends everyday as a fly on the wall watching your VODs because they make her feel at home. She found your channel when her groomer was in a discord call with her and wanted to make fun of a loser to impress her. She humored the groomer because he knows how she ticks but the whole time she couldn't help but slowly begin to find herself falling in love with you. Was it out of pity? My advice for you looking to start a small vtubing company is to start small. First of all find your vtuber. Hire someone local. Maybe a hungry college student. Then look for a small cafe or restaurant that needs content on their television. You might get outside traction but at the very least I'm sure the cafe can provide coffee to your talent and maybe snacks too? At the very least you might be able to keep your employees with that incentive. If your talent advertises the restaurant it could help the restaurant find outside visitors giving business. At the same time people locally visiting the cafe can see and be exposed to your talents. If your vtuber creates art perhaps they can sell their art at the cafe while at the same time using the art to serve as decor for the cafe or small restaurant. If you pass this phase consider moving the show to a gamer bar like Dave and Busters or perhaps a hotel in Vegas? This is all just spitball so take it with a grain of salt but at any rate good luck with your small vtuber company.

The only reason YT and Twitch are as successful as they are is because Google and Amazon are willingly taking the loss (and can afford to tank that loss) just to own a borderline monopoly on having that kind of platform.
