The problem is that it doesn't just affect the streamer, it affects all of EN.
If an actual idol unit had nearly half their members constantly singing and dancing with guys, the whole group wouldn't feel like a cohesive unit.
Joining Hololive is enough for fans to have expectations of them and they don't have to ask first for people to be able to voice their opinion.
Image and group cohesion are very important for any company, that's why marketing is such a huge industry. Everyone would pretty much just be indie if they were free to do whatever they wanted.

There's a difference between collabing once every couple months and collabing at least once a week.
I would have no issues if they did things like the JPs do.
The problem is when 40% of the group decides to make 1/3 of their collabs about men, they are only a female group in name. The bonds between Tempus and Holo will grow stronger and it will be difficult to see them as separate distinct entities.

It's their official image, it's the image they present at all their joint events and in their ads and promotions and so on. Individually they are much more varied but all the JP's have a respect for idol culture because they are idols. The EN's are not like that at all because they have no association with that part of the company. JP's may not be what you wrongly think an idol is supposed to be but they are very familiar with the work of practicing their singing and dancing, working hard to put on a show that will make their viewers happy, doing virtual-handshake events and treating their fans with respect. Most of them avoid things that make them uncomfortable or will be controversial and they don't endlessly shit on the community and company all the time when things don't go exactly like their way like the EN's and ID's do.
