To resume the debate from where it ended up: there were multiple potential issues raised, but no solutions have been proposed from my side because I had no concrete ideas on how to address them. The two key ones were higher incentive to impersonate new reps (detailed by Lunaito) and blobbing of activity creating awkward, patchwork map (brought forward by moi).

I think the impersonating issue is something that will exist regardless and that we genuinely just don't have any solve for. I don't think the province system encourages impersonation much more than the current system does, BUT I think the best we can do really is occasionally check in with the home thread to make sure they don't find anything disagreeable. I'm personally really paranoid about it myself but I honestly just don't know how we can even begin to tackle this as an issue.

Regarding nasfaqg, Nasfaqgronie was elected by their thread as the backup rep when Nasfaqgrep isn't around. In this case, i believe it is wise to say that a thread can have a backup rep should they want it. The standards are obviously going to be that they cannot already be a rep for another thread.

nasfaqgbeat made me a substitute rep for the cases where he is not present and this I have mentioned in this thread before.

No one has before this day ever mentioned anything against it.

Basically the rule is that both nasfaqgbeat and I can make canon and vote, but nasfaqgbeat's lore and nasfaqgbeat's vote will always gain priority over mine in a case where the two are in conflict, and I will not contest this (i might want to discuss it though).

Never will /nasfaqg/ be able to cast two votes. If an event where I vote and then nasfaqgbeat votes occurs, my vote ought to be discraded in favour of nasfaqgbeat's

Biggest in my opinion is that if you're a nation that lacks neighbors with reps, you are totally out of luck in terms of any writing about your neighbors and the type of political issues regarding trade routes which is immensely important in terms of worldbuilding, nanora. The total delorification of several nations into vague ghost nations cripples a lot of potential worldbuilding that would help new reps conceptualize their nations on a deeper level than a parallel of their oshi's lore. This can also force them to make alliances that don't make any sense based solely around the fact that they have none of their reasonable allies since they aren't in the thread and can't be written about in any major way, nora.
I also do think that because of the reasons above, it would give an incentive to just double as another rep of an ally nation simply so that the poster in question at least has a reasonable neighbor and wont be forever without a nation that would rationally be a major player in terms of their government and that their part of the map won't be the vacant range of lore less ambiguity that can't be described in any major way (as well as picking convenient land regions and features that would help them out), I'd also like to point out that there's a major discrepancy in terms of who is most affected by this implementation, nanora.
It gets rid of way too much and I honestly don't think the explanation done so justifies it, it also does so for the sake of hypothetical new anons who we cannot count on to appear, naaaaa. Its too similar to the early land discussions that brought everything to such a standstill that nuefag just got fed up and put the nations where they were in the first place, they should at minimum be held off and edited until we can fix those problems before we decide to put a torch to the map nanora.

I agree that a potential middle ground could maybe be came up with? a lot of people have pointed out that countries on the map are actually really big, so maybe voluntarily shrinking some countries could be an idea?
I still earnestly believe that the province system is preferable to what we currently have. Neufags map is the opposite of future proof and constantly poses issues for new writers. If a new Hologen debuts I genuinely have no idea how we're going to find space for them.

Has this ever been a problem at all so far, nanora? I haven't heard about any reps complaining that the lore they had was dubious or of arguments between old lore and new lore, the only thing that comes to mind is the other rosebud and even then that wasn't a real issue since they just talked about what they'd use and compromised.

I kind of distanced myself from Sana after her graduation. I haven't rewatched her stuff in weeks. I also started to distance myself from writing or mentioning /nasa/ here. I'll use what I wrote for /nasa/ as a reference. Not writing for /nasa/ wound up improving my mental health in the end. Mostly because of /nasa/'s association with Sana who I wound up subconciously associating with recent family trauma this year involvong a suicide. Gentlemen? How goes it today? I have set a timeline for the beginning of the second sapling visit for myself. I will do interior risu lor fixing with the other risuners for one week and then next saturday shall be the beginning of writing for the saplings.

Saplings new question. Would it be possible for risuners to become saplings while still loving Risu? IT says in your lore docs that outsiders would most likely die to the effects of prolonged exposure. But saplings become greater than humans. So I assume that one would have to devote to becoming a sapling. Could one do this while still liking Risu or is it a "one or the other" kind of deal?

OGsuner asked about using witches in stories so;
Imo witches should be the Praetorian Guards of Risu.
Like the Adeptus Custodes that only the temples have.
Extremely powerful but limited in deployment range and numbers, compared to the average civilian Risuners they are super soldiers.
So their existence is kept a secret because of two things
1. Intentional: The temples and shamans kept their order's existence hidden.
2. Unintentional: They are so limited and specialized not many has seen them. It's not like you get to see a schizo invade the Temple of Risu everyday, and there is no need to deploy them to fight a regular temple bandit.

Considering that Risu is a bunch of tribes with low communication, the latter method does all the work.

Again, as far as I'm aware there's only one treatise that describes such a technique. You also need to note that most of the niche fencing/dueling techniques are debeloped both for attracting students and for style points. Like a lot of Chinese Martial arts weapons the point isn't really to practice an effective way to kill the enemy but to make yourself stand out. Notice how it only describes fighting with another opponent who is also armed with a scythe. It's only useful in a situation where your opponent is also wielding a scythe aka a duel. In a battlefield scenario, you would probably be done in by a quick spear thrust before your can bear your slow and heavy scythe on your enemy. Agricultural scythe makes for a relatively poor weapon. Though similar to niche weapons in real life I can see deabeats still practicing it for the religious quality and connection of scythes.

Oh, I knew about war scythes, in effect they're similar to a weird glaive. The issue with them is that they're not sufficiently chuuni. I don't think the "true scythe" weapons would be used by any normal humans, their drawbacks when faced with proper melee weapons make them unviable, as you say. But the catalognauts can bridge those gaps with some magic shenanigans, which is why I think I would allow them to use those. Just sharing in their oshi's signature weapon might provide a boost to their conceptual power. For the former the requirements of looking and fighting like your god matters more than practicality of the weapon. I've not done with the ritual yet but it requires extreme expenditure of chuubanite.
The explanation I'm going for this goes back to the flesh analogy. Osmosis. Concentration goes from highest to lowest, energy goes from the highest state the ground state.
Similar to how particle accelerators can create mini-black holes. Use up so much chuubanite, the area becomes concentrated with vitubium. The Catalog opens up to do 'osmosis' and take back excess energy. It'll create a 'reverse thread' where instead of delivering something from the Catalog to the physical world, it takes something from the physical and drags it in. Including people and objects.
The process isn't obscure/forbidden knowledge. Plenty have tried. The Corpse of Monoe being littered with artifacts is proof that people attempted to throw objects into it.
But doing it is dangerous.

honestly, i wouldn't touch this idea with a ten foot pole, but if you mean phonetically, i could probably try something out with diphthongs, but you're pretty late into the game to mention this to me, so a lot would have to change. if you mean grammatically, sure, i haven't even touched that yet. if you mean adding english words, i wouldn't help you

that has little to do with phonotactics if you're referring to hooman. if you are, go nuts with compounds and do what the germans do if you want, the only thing that might change is grammar, which i would be fine with sorting out.
...there is a little cacophony thing going on there where the end of one word may sound unnatural being added to the beginning of another, likely creating many wacky consonant clusters or diphthongs that will play into phonotactics. when this happens, maybe split the words with a vowel, or a y, it's what i do with holodhennet
