A few things but I tool 2 days off for a toothache that turned into 9 days off and I feel guilty about it.

In this day and age? Doubt it. Anyone trading nukes besides US and Russia at this point is just going to get economically and diplomatically isolated. India which used to have a great relationship with the US is now getting closer to Russia, whereas Pakistan likes the $ we send them, but certainly not our influence.

My issue is that we're basically inching ever closer to a shift in the global power balance. The US has enjoyed the benefits of exporting its inflation overseas with very little effects at home outside of financial asset prices for around 40 years (although on the opposite end, it also meant we exported our industry but that's a different topic), and this means that there are a lot of dollars floating around, scattered throughout the world. All it takes is for a crisis of confidence (which may have already started) for people to start offloading those dollars for basically anything else of value, which will make that currency flow back stateside and you can imagine what that might do. BRICS is already expanding, and a commodity-based trading standard is in the works as opposed to dollar notes backed by aircraft carrier groups.

And clearly you can see how this is a problem for our (((leaders))), because this both means unrest at home and a loss of influence overseas. Historically, whenever things aren't exactly going the way they want, "something" happens to divert attention and resources. It might be tinfoil hattery, but at some point the elites may just start a war so they can reshape things the way they feel appropriate once it's all over with. The population is already prepped, ready and locked and loaded to accept any pro-war propaganda, they just need a little push for boots on the ground.

Whatever the case the next decade is going to be incredibly tumultuous, that's for sure.

But honestly, the apocalypse genre has so many uses, people rarely ever even scratch the surface of what one can do with it. Okay I realize there's only so many ways to tell a story about trying failing and trying again to escape a prison from the bottom but this is making me think of hades. So you're right anon, Botan isnt Stoic, you might call her somewhat autistic, detached, aloof, matter-of-fact, blunt, apathetic, sober, chill, or relaxed, but it would be wrong to compare her behavior to something stoic because shes probably never even been anywhere near a greek porch. She's just a very calm girl who doesnt overreact to things. Her default mood is very placid, not stoic per se because nobody would ever describe a lioness or a huntress as stoic unless they were unfamiliar with the deep meanings of the word. The important thing for the writefag trying to capture Botan's personality to remember is the gap moe between her normally impenetrable cold aloofness and her breaks into kitten like behavior. Just think of playfulness and some word that describes the opposite of playfulness and implies some level of cool composure but isnt the word stoic because that's not what stoic means and nobody would ever call it that. If you have that gap moe down you basically have the difference between Botan and Okayu because Okayu is more of a lazy playful brat, while Botan is basically the same thing but the opposite. If you've ever seen a housecat pretend to be a tiger, or a lion act like a housecat you'll get the idea.

I think you can get the idea most from comparing her in a FPS with a random battle simulator game where it very much feels like shes playing with her food.

I just figured out a good chubby Moona prompt that I'll have to write out sometime, but I have to sort of rewrite her lore in order to make it work.
Being the avatar of the moon, changes to Moona's body reflect upon the actual moon itself. The keeper of space, San summons her, and discusses a problem that has arisen; due to her gaining weight, the moon has gotten too big. He helps her exercise, but it doesn't go well, leading him to resort to a different method of exercise(seggs)
