Like vocaloids. And at this point, I might prefer a crowdsourced ecosystem revolving around (variations of) a shared model than a thousand deviantart OCs. A level playing field makes it easier for charisma, talent and ability to rise to the top, and all users of the model are technically relevant/canon. Likewise, different users with different skills can shore up each other's weaknesses to bolster the character's perceived abilities.

A vtuber comprised of multiple vtubers would theoretically be more adept at surviving yabs than one who lives and dies based on a single person's competence.
