They stream a lot of the exact same stuff JP does honestly, minus a couple games like Yakuza. EN doesn't really have anyone like a Korone playing weird old janky games or doing other more creative stuff like messing around on old website etc. I think part of the issue is the Hololive standard framework is unsurprisingly not too fun to live out when you're just spamming mario kart and superchat reads or whatever. I mean take someone like Bae, who literally doesn't even play games on her own normally, yet playing games is what she's asked to do. I think she'd rather do something like I dunno, a kpop rating stream or something because that's a subject she actually likes, but I guess can't or at least she's never tried to find a way. Some of the JPs are spectacular and run like a clock (fubuki, miko) or are pretty much a freight train of streams (koyori) but also they have ones like Mel or Ayame or Shion, don't forget that. Not to mention once-great names like Aqua. JP's current bright lights definitely outshine EN combined but they're themselves running at like half capacity.

ENs are kind of a mid-ground, they have neither the high hours (maybe aside from Kiara who is a trooper repping the branch there) nor the ultra-long break prone ones besides Sana. However it's also there just physically aren't a lot of them, 10, vs dozens of JPs. If there were like 30 ENs there'd be much more to watch all the time. Part of what keeps JP feeling so full and alive is just their sheer numbers and that takes time to build, bear in mind HoloJP history stretches back to late 2017 and EN late 2020. It feels like a new EN gen is probably around the corner and that'll hopefully help, but only if the current roster doesn't use it as an excuse to slack off even more.

HoloEN has only 10 girls now, and the debut of the second generation resulted in far less than double the content that was already there. With only 10 girls and such a tight policy on collabs with other corpos, there’s also less natural experimentation to bring in fresh ideas.

HoloJP has 8 generations, so some differing personalities in a new gen doesn’t impact things.
