This shit is unironically the sole reason why I don't watch niji even though I like a lot of their girls when I do see their clips or whatever. It's literally just too many fucking streamers, every 2 months they put out a new wave and the old ones fade into obscurity. Having the restraint to not debut new gens every other day is the single solitary thing Cover did right to put them at the top. Being able to feasibly keep up with the basics about every member and feel like you know who everyone is gives hololive that big family feeling that no other corpo has replicated even if it's mainly artificial, that's what creates brand loyalty, what builds company culture, what makes big collabs exciting for fans, and what gets every new hololive girl 200k subs before debut, pretty much guaranteeing success. With Niji it's not humanly possible to follow everyone and find who you like and even the streamers themselves aren't aware of all their coworkers, which makes it feel less like a big group and more like 500 2view indies with their own little cliques and no connection to each other beyond a brand name.
