I can't argue with that, but I think where these people go wrong (I'm almost certainly overstepping my boundaries here, but I want to share my opinion on this) is that plenty of other people have things taken from them by the man as well and find the strength within themselves to rise above the culture war. I've met people in truly dire straits that seem much happier than people glued to their phones, obsessed with the movements of their powerful and numerous enemies.
I'm also profoundly disgusted with the powers that be and so are the people I've just described, but I learned from their example that wallowing in my anger got me nowhere. Lots of people would be ready to call that picking the bad side of the culture war or just "cope" but I mean, shit, you have to cope with life or you go insane. I simply can not afford to pay the culture war, the propagandists or bad faith actors that carry water for our oppressors any mind or I will go insane.
