I like worms a lot. I like Ame a lot. Her doing this worms collab with tempus regardless of how it came about, makes me feel like she truly, beyond a doubt, doesnt care for her audience and only wants some esoteric goal, kept to herself, that involves tempus.
I cared a lot. bought lots of her merch, made video edits for her, was actually improving myself practicing singing skills and working out trying to make friends through the internet.

Hololive built itself into an specific niche. Idols. That has been practically the mantra from which the brand grew. And its the niche that brought them to where they are right now. If you wanted to watch just Twitch streamers using an anime avatar? You have VShojo, if you want non Twitch, japanese *streamers* with lots of different members, you have Nijisanji. If you want Idols, watching them focus on singing, doing skits, events, fan meet ups, you watch Hololive.

Myth was created too while under the presumption of an english branch of an Idol Group. They were going to sing songs, dance, etc. A lot of the long time fans joined because of these reasons, because an english idol group of anime girls sounded interesting and new. As of the last 2 months, there's really not much of an idol feeling to the EN branch. Aside from maybe Ina and Gura with Umisea. There's not much difference between VShojo, Nijisanji and Hololive now. There's no longer a niche between the companies. They all do the same for the most part.

Idols interact with males, yes, they work with directors, tv hosts, interviewers, etc. But this is not the same, Tempus is not some outside company that is bankrolling the girls or anything. They're supposed to be another "idol group" and this other idol group is just casually hanging out and playing games with a female idol group. In a casual setting, on their homos sitting. It's not like they're on a game show or something like that, its just two groups of friends hanging out.

Which is completely different to the original content a lot of people signed up for and why they're either angry or sad. Time will tell if HoloEN keeps this pace and just drops the whole idol thing completely or if maybe some higher ups reign them in and tells them to cut their shit out.

I dunno about calling herself one before outright, but she has mentioned what it's like 'being an idol' and what it meant, how it worked. This was before, though. I don't know what changed but I really don't think it's a coincidence that the idol part of her description was removed. Probably not, honestly. Part of why he's so good at his job isn't just because he actually does his job, it's because he's savvy. He has a real good handle on how the JP audience works. The EN audience is much harder to gauge. All sides of every argument are so fucking contrarian that you can't tell what's what.
