With cyberlive's auditions ending soon, has anyone thought about applying or heard back from them? I've been on the fence the whole time and didn't want to audition because 1. they felt sketchy and 2. it's rough being the first gen of a new, no-name company. But now I'm thinking about auditioning just for the heck of it to see what happens while making sure I don't get screwed over. Anyways, what are anons' thoughts on Cyberlive?

How do you guys cope with having no viewers? It's easy to play off your viewers once you're established, but it seems really awkward playing a game for like one or two people especially if they aren't active in chat. It'd also be insanely cringeworthy if you singled them out and tried to talk to them and they just left.

what's the best way to find an artist to commission a live2d avatar for? Not specifically rig but an avatar with all the layers ready to be rigged, or well fuck it can also be a rigger too but not required
I know some people use fiverr, but I'm autistic and I feel like I would like to commission an artist that has not done many vtuber avatar commissions yet, or at all. Mostly because I feel like the uniqueness is lost.

Live2D discord is where i'm finding mine. they have a vetting process for artists and riggers, plus they require sellers to showcase their portfolios. i wouldn't trust Fiverr or anyone offering their services on there.

Easy.
Whenever you find yourself mentally seeking a word, be it to start or continue a sentence, give it a second of silence so your brain will catch up - you'll notice the vocalization of thought disappear.
And no, the one second of silence is not bad for your viewers, it'll allow them to catch up to your train of thought.
As a bonus, it'll make goal 2 easier to achive, because you're allowing yourself to not be cognitively overloaded.

If that's the case then I would suggest figure out your brand. What's your angle? What's your gimmick? Because whatever way you go, you need to know.

My humble suggestion is that if you're not going to go tranny or trap then maybe don't spend the time working on the VO. From my experience, most people who watch babi streamers don't like it when they 'fake' it. Similarly, most people who are on the lookout for trans/trap chubbas don't really want to watch a het babi. It might split your audience right off the bat, which isn't great -- obviously.

I won't say that it's impossible, but you're fighting an uphill battle. If you're committed to the VO thing, then maybe try some kinda gimmick angle or really push your RP.

I think one good goal is to look at the weak spots on your stream - maybe ask someone to take a look at it and give feedback - and work on improving them one by one.

For example, some things are obvious, such as catching your verbal tics, etc. Other may require a deeper analysis of the structure of the content and how you want to present it, studying your analytics and seeing how your audience reacts to content and adequate it to their taste abd what makes them stick or not (but this may require you to stream for some period of time, try different types of content and get a core audience and start making adjustments). etc.

Are you making clips of your content for youtube? If not, start making it. Are you doing the SEO good practices for your VODs and clips? Start researching on good Youtube SEO practices and apply it to your content. Are your thumbnails good? Look for good thumbnail making advice and see how it matches the people who are popular in your niche (vtubers) and how can make yours better.

Goal by goal, you will in no time start snowballing into loads of improvement.

If you need more concrete goals - pick a nice round number and works towards it, then increase it little by little: I want 10 subs, I want 20 subs, I want 50 subs and 10 live viewers, etc. But with this you may risk entering a numbers game that will make or break you depending on your personality and some factors that are out of your control at times - such as luck.

So far, I drew my own model and rigged some of it by myself. However, a really nice artist (mocca's mama) had opened up live2D commisions for a pretty decent price (halfbody rig and model for $500). I wouldn't say my art skills are bad, but it's got kind of a simple style. So I'm wondering, do you think I should trade potential SOUL for a more regular looking vtuber model?

Tbh being trans is probably fine for most agencies, you just cannot be openly trans if you want to actually get in (look at Idol Hopeful for example)

ah! thank you for your feedback! i think you're thinking MS paint levels of quality. I would say that my art is for sure past that and my rigging is also pretty good! i studied and practiced these for quite a bit before starting my model. i'll stick with my own art and rig for now since i already worked so hard on it and maybe the artist will open up commisions in the future if/when i decide to change.

Do >>3337949, you can literally have a practice debut with a png/vroid or something on a burner channel. Alternatively, if you have a discord or group of friends you can do a private debut to, that's better than nothing. Obviously don't use your actual model for any of these.

my pc is too poor too. I have a self rigged model (super simple) and it lags with my pc. im forced to be a png. try a capture card maybe? thats how im doing it
