1. Record yourself using your streaming voice and play it back. Then ask yourself if you would want to listen to it for hours at a time. If you can't honestly say yes, then pick a different one or just use your real voice.

2. Don't get hung up in the numbers bullshit. Just stream and have a good time. People will gravitate towards you if they see you having fun.

3. Stream. Stream often. Either pick a niche or go variety. I don't care. Just fucking stream. You won the lottery with your job, but you should still at least make the effort to put in 15~20 hours a week. If everyone else can work 40+, you should be able to do half that.

remember some people will only watch VODs over streams because of timezones or just a lack of free time. if someone sits down and has some VODs of their favorite streamers to choose from, they might prioritize by things like games that they like, or a start of a new playthrough series, or streams with an interesting premise (endurance, collab, interview, karaoke etc. ). when having to choose between "daily free talk #51" and "drawing Gura as Kaiju" or "Holo butt size tierlist", no matter how good the free talk is, for some people (whether they might be new or old viewers) they just don't have enough information to choose it over the other options. so please, if you're going heavy on the zatsus, make them themed somehow.
also, as entertaining as it is to listen to people talk about health problems and repeat limiting beliefs for years and years, I second >>31979505 and suggest leaving some stuff to professionals. if you're having a great time talking about depression and being a downer on every stream, then that's great and I'm happy that it's hopefully helping you process stuff. but someone who had a LET'S GOOOO moment in their life might not have the empathy to message "oh yeah X please take care of yourself" for the thousandth time and might choose to watch something more positive.

Do your basic OPSEC. Delete your twitter and scrub any social media presence that might cause controversy. People don't care that you were only 12 when you tweeted about nigga or fag on your account, they just want something to be outrage about.
Make a schedule and try to stick to it. You can be not very interesting or original when you just started out, but a schedule will at least let your viewers know what to expect. The only thing worse than a boring streamer is a flaky streamer.
Be proactive and reach out to others when the collab ban is lifted. It doesn't matter if you have social anxiety or whatever bullshit excuses. The longer you shut yourself out the harder it is to build a lasting collab relationship.
Don't browse /here/ or matome sites just because you want to see feedbacks. Occasionally there are honest comments here but this place will eventually turn you into a schizo.
And the most important thing of all, please fucking stream and put on your professional vtuber persona when you stream. Study and emulate streamers like Pegor/Mr. Koro/Fubuki when it comes to their streaming style and audience interactions.
