The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

>Do you think there's an audience for X, Y, Z content?
First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

Friendly tip about auditions for the big agencies (Holo,Niji,Shojo)
They already have their list of scouted talents. If you audition and you're on the list you'll almost immediately get your phase 2 invite, that's the actual audition. The written part is just a filter to give normies hope but the names are all checked against a database of scouted talents (This is why so many talents talk about just 'winging' the audition and getting lucky. They were scouted and on the list already, what they submitted wasn't relevant) but it just gives people the wrong impression on how to get in.
You need to make your channel as big as possible by any means necessary. If you have less than 1000 subscribers you aren't going to be on their list already. If nobody has heard of you, they haven't either.
No existing streamer in any of the big agencies actually came from nothing, they were all on a scout list before they auditioned even if they try to act humble.
This is all to say don't waste your time and stress over the audition. Throw in a 4-5 min video so the bot registers you completed the step but it can be anything, make a 4 min video talking about cheese it literally will never be watched, even if you make it not one human being will ever view that video. Write the bare minimum to answer the questions without leaving them blank and forget about it. All the first phase auditions are is a check against their scoutlist to see if you're on it.

i mean, i've done teacher related things before; one of the main things i did when i first started out was japanese grammar streams which went on for about five months
there was also the math olympiad and the study session streams that preceded them back in june

I don't mean going to parties. I don't care to go to house parties either. I just mean like, going outside. Go walk around outside, run errands, go to the library. That kind of stuff. Just acclimate to being seen in public and you will gradually get more comfortable in social situations.
