I've came to the realization i just can't get enough of vtuber drama. This bitch has been all over the catalogue almost as much as mori. I don't even watch ame but I skimmed through her recent rust stream just to find the parts where she started getting mad at chat for begging her to play with the others on the server. I just love when she let's out little hints of her pent of frustration with her audience. I would almost just love to see her as an indie to get a complete unfiltered rant of her actual feelings. At this point, the En branch has been out for almost two (2) years, so if you unironically cannot see how it sucks in comparison to the Jp branch, then you either never watched the Jp girls, you never watched the En girls, or you suffer from brain damage.

I mean I agree that kind of relationship with chat is common in a lot of great streamers but a majority of holo chats are primarily emote spam and just supportive messages regardless of the quality of the content on stream, the things she picks up on in chat that irritate her are usually backseating or unsolicited tech advice, neither of which qualify as banter.
Do I wish she had a relationship with her chat similar to Pekora or Miko, yeah of course but I can't put all that on Ame, the chat quality matters too for that dynamic and I don't think many en chats get close to that level at all.

As far as the membership posts thing I don't agree with that at all, sometimes we get kinda lackluster updates talking about how she is going to potato or tummy hort but there is a lot of cute stuff in there, updates on her fish, ideas for streams. I don't get a miserable vibe at all.

Streamers cant do whatever they please as themselves might think. As a streamer you set a benchmark of expectation, or normalcy. It doesnt matter where that mark starts, but if you veer off that mark substantially enough, your fanbase will begin to feel a sense of betrayal. Fans have an expectation within Hololive for the most part of seeing or hearing of no males, for various reasons. Males that are now possibly under the umbrella of holoen and no longer have a language barrier for access are a concern. Maybe not to Moris fans as shes set the expectation that there will be the occasional male present. But Ames, they werent so sure and wanted clarification. So the days previous a few different teamates wrote there concerns into supas. Not knowing others had already asked the one question needing answering. So when Ame read the first one she answered that teamates should expect no large divergence from the norm.
For some reason though, similar subsequent questions gave Ame the false impression, that people were openly seething about it, when she merely read two and they were worded delicately.
