But now that the dust has settled and that Sana is pretty much copying her it's obvious that just one year isn't enough. From the companies' perspective, if they want to secure the investment on the chuubas they hire they'll need way stricter contracts. I think her primary legacy was reminding the streaming audience that vtubers are people wearing animated costumes, people we know almost nothing about.

We'll never know what really happened to her that caused her to leave.

Her other legacy, I think, is teaching the importance of fan representations. Bread dogs were a convenient metaphor for communicating with the audience and vice versa via fanart. Without that clip at the end of her graduation I don't think people would have got the same closure.

As someone who has had a herniated disc/chronic back pain. I honestly don't doubt the rumors that she probably is having some chronic health related issue. But the amount of pain you're in, aspects like sciatica, etc don't really stop unless you get surgery and that typically is the end of being able to do many things and doesn't really fix the issue.
I think a lot of the people treating it like hypocrisy to say she's happy or healthy isn't really a statement on whether or not the pain is persisting. I regularly just go on with my day in pain and consider myself happy and healthy, do activities etc. But sometimes it just sucks and you tend to re-injure yourself more frequently by throwing out your back leaning over and shit and you need to take days off from work or whatever because it becomes completely intolerable.
She's also not really streaming that much despite /vt/ trying to act like her appearances are somehow so much more frequent now that she's indie again.
