Let’s plays are usually highly explosive 10-15 minute videos although the meta seems to be moving towards 20 now. Regardless it is an intensive experience where the (good) LP keeps you infested for most of it.

Streams are not aggregated content but rather hanging out with someone which means that there can be long stretches of time where not a lot of things happen. Some streamers exhaust themselves by trying to make every minute as crammed with memes and content like Let’s plays while others are more casual and just use the time to hang out.

anywhere from 90 minutes to 3 1/2 hours if you basically just want to be a hangout spot for your regulars at night after work
