For added angst:Fuuchan was born crippled so he's always believed no one would want him or want him to have their kids so that he doesn't 'pass on' his disability. So when he's finally wanted it feels like a dream come true. And then the officials tell him all of the things he's grown up thinking/hearing, with the added incest reason and he agrees because obviously they are correct and it was too good to be true for someone like him. So half brother. My vague palace drama idea of it is same dad, different concubine mothers. Vox ended up winning the throne and his mom was high up in the harem. Fulgur's mom was lower ranked and he dealt with a few assassination attempts (cue all the scars) until it became clear he didn't have a chance of winning the throne (maybe because his physical disability became more prominent, maybe omegas can't take the throne so once he got old enough to present he was just ignored because he was no longer a threat? IDK I haven't actually fleshed this out.) Maybe Fuuchan never wanted the throne and he supported Vox's bid for it, so they became close and then all of Vox's harem loved him and Vox fell in love and here we are.

my version is a bit different, i was thinking vox is the heir to the akuma clan and his mother is the first wife, fuuchan is his half-brother from a concubine who gets taken in by vox's mom when his dies from illness. fuuchan is a weak child so they can't help but spoil him when he's young and vox is his entire world because he's basically confined to staying indoors in the harem. not sure if i want them to be close in age or have a larger age gap yet, both have their perks. once they start approaching puberty and the time for their presentations (yes this is ABO because why not), all of a sudden fuuchan is perceived as a threat to vox's position of heir by the clan elders and vox's mom to an extent. they all breathe a sigh of relief once fuuchan presents as an omega. so does vox, because the two of them have already developed feelings for each other, and this means he can be with fuuchan forever.

right before vox leaves on his first military expedition, fulgur has his first full-blown heat and the two of them almost cross the line but they're interrupted by vox's mom, after which the cat is out of the bag. vox's mom talks vox into leaving for his assignment to prove himself worthy of being clan leader, if he gains enough power he can eventually wed fuuchan regardless of dissenters. at the same time she convinces fuuchan that vox's future and the well-being of the clan depends on him marrying the belligerent, much older head of a rival clan as part of a peace treaty.

fulgur is quietly married off without vox's knowledge. he is sixteen years old. once vox returns, he's overcome with the urge to tear the entire clan apart, reduce it to ashes, he basically goes feral and goes on a rampage. ike is the only person who's able to calm him down.

from that day on, vox starts on the arduous path to retake what's rightfully his. ike and he have a platonic relationship at first, more like partners-in-crime. ike is from a powerful family, has relatives on the council, is an extremely bright and well-bred omega, he agrees to help vox by marrying him and being his first wife. along the way though they fall in love and have to work through their feelings and vox worrying that he's weak and has broken his promise to fulgur, lots of angst, lots of tension.

it takes them fourteen years to bring fuuchan home. in the meantime he endures abuse at the hands of his husband, which is how he ends up unable to walk without support and with the tattoo over his eye that healed wrong so his vision is wonky too. he's constantly berated for not getting pregnant but it's because he can't bring himself to give birth to this monster's child so he always drinks his special "tea" after his heats. he's already been forced to bond with this man and lost his virginity to him, too, all things he had promised vox.

anyways eventually vox takes over as clan leader with ike's help (they may or may not have been involved in the previous one's early retirement) and he's powerful enough to come fetch fuuchan. he razes the rival clan to the ground, kills their leader and scoops fuuchan into his arms, holds him and doesn't let go the entire way home.

and then he still encounters resistance when he tries to integrate fuuchan into the harem.

(I love me some immediate love/lust at first sight but the super slow burn where they slowly get closer in a way that feels so natural is a big weakness of mine). And Fuuchan suffering for all those years to finally be reunited with Vox! He and Vox having to work through all of the years and how much they feel like they have failed each other! Together! Vox finally bringing him home only to still encounter resistance to finally having Fuuchan with him the way he's always wanted! Good shit.

If you meant my story instead of the other anon's...I haven't gotten much farther than him being the youngest at this point. Either the son of a minor official or even someone of lower birth that Vox got attracted to during his time fighting for the throne and brought into the harem regardless of whether he was "from a good enough family". Either one would leave him vulnerable to powerplays, though the latter would obviously make it worse. Outside of "Shu gets pregnant first" (for reasons that this thread is probably aware of) the only stuff I have is:
Ike is the first. He is the son of a high up official and the marriage was arranged before Vox was officially crown prince. (I have been toying with the idea that his father is one of the main people behind this for the angst potential. And because it would make sense that he'd try to deal with any competition for Ike's future kid inheriting. Too bad Ike doesn't want kids and Vox would never force him. And that their blood relationship wouldn't stop Ike from taking revenge for hurting the ones he loves. Would make Ike guilty as fuck, though.)
And Luca. I was planning on making him another arranged marriage, just an alliance with a foreign power instead.
