A bit worried about what team comp they'll have for the tournament
Uruca is a great player for sure, but the thing with Masanori was that he played Horizon and absolutely carried with it. Then again Horizon is getting hella nerfed so idk if even he'll use it in this tournament
I just feel like a major factor that contributed to Norimayuge was Masanori's Horizon + Charge Rifle combo, farming red armors, getting killpoints from far away and still having insane close range advantage as a controller player
Uruca's potential is just as big as Masanori's though, considering he's a long time pred too. I just feel like a Wraith or Octane won't have as much impact.
As for Matuli, I think she's gonna take the place of the team sniper. Which is fine I guess, her Longbow is ok-ish. TT even better, but it'll go to supply drops before the tournament so we won't be seeing that a lot. I think Matsuri should go for the CR and try farming shields with that. She's just not going to have as much of an impact as Masanori.
Anyways, I'm excited to see how they'll perform in scrims. Let's hope this team can achieve a similar feat as the previous one.

Well, excepting since I was watching Matsuri on 240p because my internet is shit so I couldn't actually tell what Masanori was doing most of the time.
But since the tournament I've been watching his daily clips so I do know how good he was.

I mean the Longbow is a higher skilled weapon than the CR, which is why we'll see what she'll use in the actual tournament if she's maintaining evo farming. Swapping from Longbow to CR is at least easier and from memory Longbows can be really fucking common anyway so worst case she'll at least be serviceable with whatever sniper. Well, I'm being generous because Sentinel is harder to use.
Though as to Masanori again, he was a really good skirmisher solo so keeping pressure and focus on him was really helpful. Someone mentioned last tourney about how he was in heavy combat while UgeMatsuri was just chilling in a house for example.
But well, Horizon nerfs and Valk coming out, which I think Valk's movement is probably going to be easier on KBM, otoh, not much time to master it so. But if its actually as good as it promises to be, someone who gets competent with her movement this early could be a real threat, or at least major annoyance.

Ultimately only when the scrims come can we see how it goes anyway. Mentioned it before that I wanted to see Uruca in the Kagayaki cup but no chance of that now.
Another thing is that Matsuri's inconsistency is also worrying of course. But I'll be fine as long as they don't embarrass themselves. Or at least don't embarrass themselves every round. I still think back to Towa driving off Olympus then getting sniped occasionally. But they had a good performance otherwise so its all good.

I remember many cases like this lmao. One Olympus game I remember vividly where M&U were standing behind a wall healing and in the killfeed I see Masanori casually knocking 2 or 3 players back to back with the CR from a mile away.

I'm just hoping Uruca will take the "Papa role" and chill with the girls. A slow playstyle worked for them better than an aggressive one last tournament. Farm shields with snipers long range, maybe get a lucky knock or two and capitalize on third partying other teams. Also I have to mention that one big advantage for Uruca is his movement. KB+M movement beats controller movement like 90% of the time, I could only list a few controller players with actually great movement and they're some of the best in the world.

Yup, this is exactly why having her as the team sniper feels a bit worrying. On good days she can hit some nasty shots and provide great shield cracks and whatnot, but on bad days she'll even miss most TT shots. On a tournament setting consistency is really important. Either way I'll cheer for her, of course. The scrims will show us how it actually goes. This is still gonna be one of her better teams compared to any tournament she's played in before so I'm not worried of a bottom finish or anything.

Honestly that stream was pure gold. Even if they didn't get to play at all, that shit was too funny
The zatsu/utawaku part was comfy as hell and the girls had such good vibes going on. Towards the end with the pop quiz part and especially Wat's sensitivity bugging I laughed so hard that my stomach hurts like hell
