Keep in mind this is surface level research. The types of crops you can grow ultimately depends on your soil quality. This assumes /vrt/ has a means of fertilizing and irrigating their crops.

I divided /vrt/ into two agricultural regions: The Subtropical North and the Costal Savanna.

The Subtropical North is the easiest region to farm. You will have to clear some forest and rotate your crops but you should have excellent soil quality. Unlike monsoons where the floods will wash away nutrients the Subtropics are home to temperate rainforests. You'll have a mix of both tropical and delicious fruits: Citrus, apples, pears, peaches, apricots, almonds, walnuts, and maybe a little jackfruit on the border of the savanna. The border between the savanna and the forest would be some of your more fertile grounds for tropical crops. For veggies as long as it doesn't require a bit of cold you can grow them. Squash, beans, and sweet potatoes are staples. Maybe a little bit of cabbage or lettuce. Wheat will have to be grown in winter. Barley and oats should be able to grow just fine in the spring and fall.

The real wonder is the costal savanna. Due to the warm currents of the oceans and the slightly cooler subtropical north winds your savanna is a very wet savanna. It still has a dry season from late fall to early spring. However the summers are surprisingly wet. Your savanna would be more like a tropical grassland like the Cerrado than the African dry savanna. The challenge with agriculture in the costal savanna is that your ideal crops would grow in the dry winter, which needs irrigation. Also the soil isn't as fertile as the north. The crops you can grow are seasonal tropical fruits like figs, palm dates, and guava, and grasses. If you have a dry-ish sandy region then grassland cactuses would be a good plant to have. Grass will be perfect for feeding livestock like cattle and pigs.

You'll depend more on hunting game than fishing. The oceans are warm. Which means very little nutrition for algae and fish. Meat includes wild birds, aligators, tortoises, and buffalo.

The challenge is figuring out how to irrigate the savanna in the dry season to grow more arid crops as well as fertilizing for the wet season to grow tropical crops. I'm sure onobots would love to figure that out.
