Anon, it's kinda hard to word this, but your lore is almost too perfect. It reads the dry wiki page of any european country, which is a great tribute to how well you have studied the various aspects of this document. But it leaves my brain entirely blank of any feedback or reaction. I'd love to read more about some unique or interesting aspects of your metalworking, since that seems like something that would set the nation apart.

That is an approach. I feel like most anons come up with what makes their nation unique, and then build around that. But it's not universal...
Since Kaela is a blacksmith and not a miner, instead of a unique ore it could be a unique alloy (or alloys) that other nations are not able to produce from the same base materials. Maybe special tempering techniques. Just some ideas.

Yeah, that's sort of was an idea. One of the reason's i left it as a "secret" was I didn't know. I was thinking of some technique and tempering means or maybe an alloy. I think the Serene Republic was brought up sometime regarding the "Republic" bit, it refers to "res publica" more than the form of government named after the idea. Ironically, it usually just refers to the core of the nation, so the Stock Exchange and the nightwatchman state.

Alternatively maybe you can modify the Roman Republican system a bit? We are world building, nations will have their own unique circumstance and history which gave rise to different types of political systems. I think the governing system would ultimately comes down to how the agency keeps the government in control. It's fine to get inspiration but full on copy and pasting might not be the best.

No one. A lot of history plays into this, such as Charlemagne being crown Empire of the West by the Pope in order to spite the Eastern Romans. (The latter really isn't true at all, the reality is that the Emperor used that as a powerplay. Papal power never came from the Empire.)

I did a quick Brave search for fruit trees for /risu/'s semi-arid south. There's pistachios, pecan if they grow beside a river, palm dates, figs, and quince (though you can't eat quince raw; you'll have to cook it).

For the /risu/ forests just about any subtropical and tropical fruit can grow. I'm going with mostly fruit as /risu/'s crop. I jokingly call /risu/ the "broadleaf jungle". You can grow vegetables and grains. However growing vegies needs to clear land and /risu/ doesn't have an easy means to grind grains into flour. Especially if all they have is mortar and pestle and not proper grindstones. If /risu/ has grindstones then they'll probably be hand tools.

Hope this is enough to get OG started researching his own crops. My suggestion is to go with foraging first before cutting down trees for farming.

Since /risu/ is loose alliance of tribes they will fight over farm land if deforestation is illegal. Farming might be possible in the semi-arid south but only alongside rivers and streams. Here is a thought, Risu is a lot bigger than the map shows. Why not allow developments in certain areas be attributed more to different nations, as I am sure that Inf, Meat and Mep would show the same thing in many ways; in different areas. That way the time line makes a lot more sense and allows for some interest cultural impacts.

The other way to circumvent weeds is to grow your gardens a specific way that there's no room for weeds to take root. Then again it might be better for /risu/ to forage. Chuubanite soil has the side effect of accelerating growth of vegetables as well as weeds. Veggies might become weeds themselves.

Infinity could very well have much more influence, but truth be told many of these areas that are marked aren't directly influenced by anyone too much. The cities will always be the center of the cultural diffusion and it think the only places this will be different is the border areas near mep, which will definitely develop their own unique culture in the rural areas as well as the urban areas. This isn't about someone having more influence, its just speculation about how culture develops more than anything and adding to the potential concept of mep for example teaching risuners similar things that meat and infinity do in their areas to make sense of the spread of knowledge.
