Finally got around watching VALIS 3DPG live
Fucking hell, I hoped that shitty camerawork is just a thing Cover and 2views do, not something that I will see with actual 3D too, shit focused on audience or was out of focus for good half of the time while also never staying still for more than five seconds like the dude doing it was getting paid per perspective switch, the most glaring one was when during one of bigger points in song choreography camera just fucking panned VALIS out of the view, and that all with their shtick of hiding details on them with shadows that works badly with streaming
On the other hand the choreography was great as always, the MC sections weren't too bad and the whole thing was well performed
Also tummy shots, all these fucking tummy shots man, seeing their muscles move and shit...

I liked it. It shows off multiple angles and even shifts focus from girl to girl. Also plays in tune with lyrics and animation in the backboard. The back shots were genius whoever came up with that. It's always cleanly lit when you would think it's shadows all around as seen in the front. The only shameful part is that the live audience likely did not get such enjoyment of these effects. Although, I'm sure it's an enjoyment of its own to be able to see the entire group dancing in front of you even without these cuts and effects.

She mentioned on Twitter, this one is supposed to capture the feeling of the fragility of life. I like the callback to using the same animal sound that is in August Fireflies, and the song itself is beautiful.

Stupid encode took me forever. Turns out my RAM overclock wasn't entirely stable so I had a few random shutdowns hours into it, and for some reason MKVToolnix couldn't mux the incomplete .264 files, so I couldn't just trim off the garbled end and start from the last good GOP.
