It depended on the stream. Some of the Selen open VC drawing streams were kino. But people like Luca bursting into Pomu streams completely ruined it

Yeah, I liked it. It didn't even have anything to do with pandering to family shit. I'm not there to chat or interact with the streamer. They're literally just in the background for me to listen to and solo streams are dead boring sometimes. Open VC turns a solo stream into an entertaining stream because I'm never reading chat anyways.

Yeah I like it. Sometimes it feels like a crutch for the ones who arent as entertaining by themselves but stuff like Shu's bday or the finale of Yugo's GOI have been a ton of fun. When they're in open VC a lot of them act more "themselves" and less fanservice-y which is nice if you're a fan of the boys but not a fan of their pandering. It happens a lot less than shitposters on this board imply.

I wouldn‘t doubt that they‘re exaggerating it like that just to distribute viewers to lesser known talents, considering that they‘ve attempted to create an environment where people feel obligated to catch every NijiEN‘s stream just to be in on all the inside jokes. At least, up until they realized that Niji is Niji and that they‘re going to add more and more Livers to the mix to the point where that intimate family setting just isn‘t feasible.

I dislike guerrilla collabs. This one time I was watching a favorite non-Niji of mine and she ended her stream. Her genmate started streaming so I went over there. The streamer that just ended her stream then joined the VC and they started talking. I closed the stream.
