Yes, the mechanism is supposed to be vague since I wanted writers to have more flexibility. Though that could do with some refining since I think we came to a decent agreement on the catalog, maybe a more defined Schzio and Trolls could be done later (even though I did ask for it a couple threads back). The shamans are the "generals" of the Schizos since they are the ones who create Rrats, and they have limited ability to influence to control the group, if you want to write about WH30K like drama then Shamans would be your character's "class". A lot of schizos would be basically mindless zombies but it's vague enough that a sliding scale could exist, maybe like a recently converted schizo who wasn't mind broken by a shaman or troll, but rather got converted by touching an artefact, so they still retained some humanity but acts ironically. But as the other anon said it really depends on how you want them to be, what kind of story do you want to write and the kind of threat you want them to present. A thriller? Have them be a cell of intelligent schizos and shamans lurking in a city. Want an adventure? Maybe a warband with a shaman and a troll as the final boss. This could be used to explain our more fantasy setting, since alignment to it would turn schizos into more fantastical beings, monsters and such, as well as transforming some normal fauna into their fantasy subspecies as well.
Let's say we have an "entity" that chased altventurers from their original underground home, and is now using the place to create hordes of schizos and monsters. The most ancient texts name this entity simply as "the End" *cough cough*
