Anyone else feel Like The Vtubing Scene is incredibly stagnant right now? I swear every vtuber is either doing GFE or playing the same games as everyone else. It honestly feels like mainstream tv at this point. I just wish a Vtuber would do something new besides Singing Zatzudan or FOTM game.

Good Point and I do. It’s just that how is the Vtuber Industry going to grow and Expand when it’s held down by idolfags and gachikoi who flip out at the tiniest inconvenience? They have turned most vtubers into idol garbage no different from real life idols. Vtubing can be so much more then just boring idol shit.

Its always been like this. Vtubers are just streamers with an avatar. You just feel its stagnant only now probably because you're new. Earlier last year we had Ark as the big thing that both Niji and Holo played that some were sick of. APEX, MC, Ark, Among Us, MonHun, etc. trends are trends. You ask for other content but unless you're already big, those don't get as much views.
>>3053236
Well that type of content died for a reason. You can miss it all you want but numbers are numbers. Its like complaining about the Batman Who Laughs being in everything but you can blame them when he sells the most? You want different content then you have to support that content and I don't mean just watching it. Clip stuff from it and do that in a way to get views, help promote it. Numbers win.

Actually video uploads pull in amazing views and grow video subscribers much better than simply doing live streams. This is a fact most streamers on YouTube are very aware of; however, if they can get by without it, they will because it’s far easier.

You mean they CAN pull in. Sadly they don't always do that. Like I mentioned, that type of content died for a reason. Otherwise we'd still be in a 4-kings era world and Mito would not have risen as much.

17 million on a single video is not dead, and MOST uploads get more than live streams. Also Gura’s past life had many millions on each video. Now the question becomes why… It’s because YouTube was designed for that sort of content, and has viewers looking for it, while live streaming is a side thing that gets less interest.

>> No.3055385

Then you should've felt it was stagnant earlier. Ark ended eventually last year with only some trying to revive it now. Shit will end eventually and then new things will take their place. APEX in the earlier half of last year was no way close to the popularity in the latter half.
>that’s sad then that most vtubers only care about numbers and money

You do know there's travel restrictions, right? A lot of the events that they would've otherwise had to add variety to their day-to-day are hampered by the fact that they can't go out and do shit that's actually interesting. Hololive, Nijisanji and Kizuna Ai in particular have it bad since they can't really do their live performances with crowding restrictions.

The other aspects of this is the fact that we are also kept at home which makes viewers constantly pay attention and lose the sense of novelty to VTubing much faster.

Some people say prerecorded stuff allows more creativity.

That is true but it also requires more effort, talents, and equipment. It also does not allow much audience engagement. An important part of hololive's appeal is how real and casual they are in daily streams, compared to other well-produced vtubers before their era. I see no problem with casual daily streams, and then once in a while they upload special prerecorded content. Heck, that's what the main channel of hololive specializes in (skits, game shows etc.).

Just because the Anime/Gaming sphere that surrounds VTubing somehow ended up primarily doing screaming content doesn't mean that there isn't a constant stream of video uploads for said gaming/anime sphere. >their actions tell a whole lot more than anything we could come up with
I didn’t come up with it. It’s actually how YouTube works. It’s why Pewdiepie doesn’t stop uploading videos. It’s “his actions” that you’re ignoring, and I’m simply explaining the why part. If you’re wondering then how Hololive stays afloat, it’s because of the network of multiple streamers, which allows people to find each of them better. Seeing one can lead to seeing another. Each ultimately supports the other. The issue is that it only goes so far on YouTube. Oddly, Calli’s 17 million view video actually grew not just her channel, but the other EN channels as well. Just as Gura IS THE REASON the other EN streamers are as big as they are as well. It’s something most people just don’t understand.

YouTube is even trying to allow extreme stuff like completely nude yoga (yes stuff like that) but has the finger on the ban hammer when those channels cross the line.
