The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

>Do you think there's an audience for X, Y, Z content?
First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

i think we are stuck in this weird dilema, where all the viewers are largely viewing for chatting and hanging out purposes, so when the content is more focused and less chat interactive, they receive less views even though objectively the content can be potentially more interesting. the only exception to this is something like the girls night stuff where all the goslings genuinely just want to watch the girls do stuff even if they dont talk to chat

alls said and done i dont think collabs should be shunned, we gotta get practice some way some how and from a tech perspective i learned a lot from the limited amount of collabs i did. and it makes for great clip content for people that want to make highlights and etc

Small update. I will try to get into the streaming groove again. First, normal streams. Current job doesn't allow me to stream every day, too taxing due to schedule. No model yet, none of that. Just normal streams. Have an extremely small audience on youtube from some old videos. Most I ever got going live there was about 10 viewers. Can't decide if I should do some youtube streams first, then make a full switch to Twitch. Or maybe do both depending on the game. Couldn't care less really, but I have to if I want people to find me. Brand loyalty is not a thing I do, both places are run by incompetent retarded monkeys. If it were up to me? I'd nuke the servers to both. Useless junk places, can't even focus on what they want anymore.

Gonna do a solid month or two of streaming twice a week, have to get consistency in my system now that I can turn on the OBS and just stream comfortably due to having a desk. After that, I'll consider making a bluebird website account to hunt down some artists. What I have in mind should be simple enough for them to handle. Same thing for a rigger. Rigger makes me think of the word nigger. Can't say things like that on stream. But designs and models are not something I need to think about yet. Consider this Step 1.5 before the proper Step 2 begins. More updates later.

Generally for song covers you want to have at least some decent mixing going on. Can be cheap depending on the mixer but that's still some investment. Video is debatable since even big utaites just use the base mv sometimes if it's a vocaloid thing.

Inclining really does just get easier and easier as you get followers/viewers doesn't it. I feel like people just give you that much more of a chance as somebody with 3 or more viewers compared to a 1-2 viewer streamer.

I guess some of it could be explained by me having better quality streams, but I dont think the difference of my streams is quite so large from when I started.

Furthest I've gone in terms of singing content is my debut stream and the vocaroos I post here. Dunno, I enjoy recording myself singing but stuff with backing track is just a hassle for me. Especially considering my range is lower than majority of songs I cover, so I'd have to take the backing track to a lower pitch for it to sound better.

It seems that some streamers do use their chat to justify a lot of their harmful behavior. Vtubing probably makes it worse because people can hide a lot of their flaws behind a pretty sketch.
