You don't need to grind at all on any Disgaea whatsoever except for post game content, where it becomes mandatory (and Kiara never does post game), and it's unlikely that she'd ever grind just for the sake of it.
Also if she played one she'd likely play D6, which is specifically designed to lowball the difficulty even further so as to be a friendlier entry point (and also, it lets you 100% automate grinding, even without bothering to make a setup, she could just have the game repeat a stage while she does literally anything else). I think this was a feature in the D1 re-release too.

Side note, the 1 hour time boxed streams for the new guys was actually a great idea and forced them to learn time management and dealing with any issues that showed up without compromising the little time they had to stream.
I feel like it was a great decision, especially seeing how overwhelming the whole experience seems to them.

I hope they actually do the same to EN3 or future gens. It gives viewers time to watch everyone and experience a little bit of everyone's streaming style.

I don't think there's a secret management rule in place that dictates collabs must be only 1 hour or so. Even if just for the simple reason because I don't think Cover management actually really cares about how long or not EN collabs are. (Yes, there's the case of the boys now, but like the other guy said, that's probably just for the beginning to ease them in or something), and second, we've already seen lots of the EN girls' collabs go over one hour, so even if there were such a "rule", it seems to be so arbitrary that the more reasonable assumption should be it doesn't exist in the first place and is more just an imagined cope (hey, I can even understand the feeling - if you're watching a collab and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, you wish for it to go on longer and it sucks to see it cut short, so it's tempting to fall into easy thinking "argh, how can that be? there must be something nefarious behind this! I know, blame Cover!)

Simplest, most reasonable explanation for this seeming "phenomenon" is probably just something uneventful - they agreed to a specific length beforehand, and don't really want/can't prolong it on the fly, because the people have been "booked" and committed to a certain slot, and maybe have other appointment and shit to do afterwards. We saw this kind of stuff a lot early in the beginning when for example Mori was the most busy with her double/triple lives and often had to call curtains on a collab so she could get to her next thing, but nowadays pretty much all the girls are pretty busy these days. Also timezone issues, for collabs with people around the globe, it's always too early / too late for someone, so it's just common courtesy not to extend it unnecessarily. The energy/enjoyment levels would suffer anyway. It's better to have a collab that's "too short" so it leaves you wanting more, instead of a collab that's "too long" that it just drags and overstays its welcome.
