Why do people think vtubber corporations have any staying power? Usually these big Internet groups and multi channel networks always fall apart and scatter after a few golden years. Normal Boots, TGWTG, Machinima, Polaris, Maker Studio, Screwattack etc. all fall and their members go independent

>> No.30102541

why do you think cover is expanding towards other markets its obvious they know the whole vtuber thing isn't going to sustain them in the long run

Anon, if you want to bet on Hololive falling apart and scattering then I will gladly take that bet with you.

That’s what Normal Boots and Screw Attack tried to do and expand into Vidya but failed. Maker Studio was bought out by Disney and even the mouse saw no future in internet content

Nijisanji is currently bringing in $100 million is sales a year and $20 million in profits. Growing 200% more profitable in a year after 4 years in the business with a current company valuation on the stock market of over 1 billion dollars. You can bet Hololive looks similar too. This industry and the companies at the top are only getting stronger.

The content creators in those groups could easily retain their previous audience since they usually owned their YT channels and were using their real faces.

Here if you get graduated you lose everything and have to commission a new avatar and hope that people find you again and like your new design too. Roommate channels being some kind of forbidden knowledge they can't promote and retarded fans will gatekeep doesn't help either.

Vshojo and smaller indie companies who simply sponsor are the only ones at risk then.

Then let’s make a bet. 7-10 years is when the majority of internet companies either die or become so irrelevant they move back to YouTube. Hololive existing since the late 2010s means that by the end of the 2020s decade they will fall apart. If it doesn’t I’ll eat a hat

>what is kson
>what is nazuna

Sure, you will get a hit until word goes around. But most of their previous audience knows where they are now.

Those were two of the most influential vtubers ever.

Imagine Sana trying to reboot her career in a month. Nobody would give a shit.

Some of those groups were started by the talents themselves. Talents change, evolve and move on. Talents from those groups mentioned also can inject their personal beliefs/politics/religion if they're the owner. Major vtuber corpos don't have this problem because from the beginning someone owned them.
Some of those groups were popular due to the relatability/genuineness of the talents and when things became too corpo it alienated the fanbase leading to failure. Vtuber corpos don't have this problem because it's corpo from the start.
One of those groups had terrible contracts and stole money from the talents. This could potentially happen with vtube corpos however these days more people have the means and knowledge to instantly take things to court.

Maker and Machinima were also corpo from the start and they had the biggest blow ups of all the groups listed. Who’s to say that a mass deletion like Machinima or a buy out then closing like Maker can’t happen

Soon enough indies are going to blow up just like how Let’s players killed The angry reviewer. People on this board are in denial but vtubbers are ecelebs and run on the same cycle
