For one thing that's not 50k at all as was said, for second with the scummy underhanded way vshojo works, it would not at all surprise me if some of those huge donations were in fact plants/PR stunts put there to basically give the impression/idea that it's a normal/real thing to give such large amounts to influence the audience - particularly so if that vtuber is kind of skating on the edge of relevance/teetering on decline.

I've suspected that about corpo tubers in general of using planted donations to get the ball rolling at the very least (and they back off once actual people start coming in) but that ain't exactly easy to prove.
