Morning Nowa stream today so lets get into some tea!

Today's tea - 2008 Jinggu Ripe puer
7g Brewed in a 100 ml gaiwan @ 100 degrees Celsius
10 second wash with 6-7 second long infusions

Today I'm drinking some ripe puer, the leaf material comes from Jinggu which is a country in the Yunnan province of China. Dry leaf smells like dried fruit with some woody undertones. The wet leaf only strengthens that dried fruit aroma, it smells almost like dried cherries. Now, the flavor profiles of this was very interesting to say the least, very fruity, very creamy and thick in texture. Has hints of camphor with a slight mentholl-y feeling at the back of throat, this tea is great. Not astringent and easy on the stomach as well.

Overall, a very delicious tea. Perfect for just sitting back and enjoying a nice quiet morning or listening to a very wise oji-san ramble in the early hours of the day.zxdse

I never put any stock in the idea of a "gen leader" until Altare and now it's really hard to go back.
