I want to think that they can, but the thing is most of the people who do this sort of thing don't do it because they seek romance and companionship in their life, they do it because it sells. I think that if you're looking for someone to just roleplay as a girlfriend, then a GFE vtuber is perfectly fine for that on an emotional level just like a whore is fine on a physical level. Just remember that it's all roleplay. Just like you shouldn't actually fall in love with a whore and want to marry her, you shouldn't feel that way about GFE vtubers either.
