Last couple details to iron out for the deals:
- How many facilities are we looking at leasing, and how much of the profit made from refining fungi materials do you want as part of this lease.
- Assuming KAG will have greater reach to broker said goods, would you be willing to distribute the products on our behalf for a larger cut.
- If the CIO have no idea this is happening does that mean you are impartial to the use of these funds, and does your investment in VMS acquisitions put us at risk of other countries denying our educational institutes.

As far as VMS as an educational institute is considered I think that the City of Katrina will be a great home for a regional institute and I hope that we will find many like-minded scholars there.

I don't have a number of facilities but you can consider the amount to be rather high compared to most places because the city has a lot of facilities for alchemy and chemistry in general.
What do you think is reasonable for the fungi? 33 to us? And for transportation, I think the 50/50 would be reasonable unless I am too high with both.
Could you clarify the latter because we are impartial, although if you wanted to conduct some unscrupolous experiments behind closed doors, we would have no issue.

I would be willing to to consider 50/50 if the staffing of these facilities can be handled mostly by 2434 and KAG is willing to transport dangerous goods. We have some clients at /mans/ and /meat/ that are interested in types of fungi that are horrifying... magically so.

Experimentation is mostly conducted in the countries of potential buyers, due to the fact that they are funded wholly by them, but in the case of private experiments or those requested by KAG or 2434 they would be conducted in our labs at the facility in Katrina.

Changed a decent amount of things as well as some edits to make the sentences flow better (at least from my pov). I actually haven't read its part before I responded but The Trawlers are... kind of redundant? Marines exist and depending on the style of warfare the military expects and have experienced there isn't really a need for a specialized riverine or amphibious troop type in our relative time frame of military development and national use case. Most importantly of all there isn't really a need for distant operations as no countries on Vitubia have colonies. And thus there isn't a need for the things that led to the development of amphibious operations in the 20th century and thus a highly specialized branch that excels at expeditionary landing missions. For smaller targets the sailors and marines onboard can deal with the issue and for big targets you would just land your line troops on an unopposed beachhead or land with naval bombardment though in the age of sail that would be risky due to the nature of immovable shore defenses vs sinkable ships. Not to mention the threat from incendiary ammunition in the form of heated shot or rare/anachronistically, martin shells. So I changed the Trawlers from basic marines with supporting units to a kind of quick reaction unit that can take back islands without the help from the army. Depend on how you like it but I can change it back to what's originally written if you don't like the change. Once you give the okay I'll add it to the main rentry.

If you know how electrons behave in metal, the following should be pretty simple for you to understand, as an analogy to that is where we are going.

A new definition:
>Magic Quanta pressure
As magic quanta on some level repel each other (but not to the same extend as, say, electrons), when there are magic quanta in a closed system, the system tries to push away some of the magic quanta. This is why a full vitubium particle is more likely to release magic quanta, why the likelyhood of vitubium rejection grows as the vitubium particle becomes filled, and also why flooding a partially filled vitubium particle in magic quanta rises the probabilities of vitubium acceptance.
Imagine an isolated system with 1 vitubium particle in it. The system is a tight box which forces the magic quanta into constant contact with the vitubium particle.
>When 8 magic quanta are added to the system, the equilibrium of acceptance-release is when 4 magic quanta are bonded with the vitubium particle, and 4 magic quanta are unbonded ("free").
>When 4 more magic quanta are added to the system, the equilibrium moves to 6 bonded, 6 free.
>When 4 more magic quanta are added, the equilibrium is at 8 bonded, 8 free. the vitubium particle is full, and adding more magic quanta to the system does not increase the amount of bonded magic quanta.
If the system was not a tight box, more magic quanta to vitubium particles would be needed to meet an equilibrium, as not the magic quanta are less "pressured" to be in contact with the vitubium particle.

Chuubanite is a general name for any substance that is composed of a significant amount of vitubium particles. Anything can be chuubanite as long as it includes a significant amount of vitubium in its makeup: a diamond which has impurities of vitubium particles bonded to its carbon atoms, a liquid found inside a plant which has vitubium salts dissolved into it, and a copper alloy with small amounts of vitubium mixed in it are all types of chuubanite. For the purposes of this text, let us observe the copper-vitubium alloy:

The orange-yellow orbs are copper atoms.

the purple-ish orbs are magic quanta.

In the above illustration, we have a copper-vitubium alloy where the Vitubium Acceptance and Vitubium Release are close to being in equilibrium for the amount of magic quanta in the chuubanite.

As vitubium particles spontaneously release magic quanta, and the magic quanta pressure forces magic quanta into contact with vitubium resulting in vitubium acceptance, we'll see a system where magic quanta are constantly being released and absorbed. Between each individual vitubium particle there exists a "cloud" of magic quanta in the form of probability waves (remember the wave-particle duality nature of the magic quanta!). As these magic quanta are within the "reach" of vitubium (as in, are inside chuubanite) they can exist without annihilating.

It is at the edge of the chuubanite object where the magic quanta risk being annihilated.

As the probability wave of a magic quanta spans the entirety of Superreality (but is at its highest near the location of the magic quanta, which is not determined yet, so its a little bit paradoxical but bear with me).

The image includes explanation. While saying that chuubanite is radioactive will help people understand the radiation more intuitively, it is not exactly how it works. Vitubium does not break apart and decay into other elements, it releases its bonded magic quanta, which then quantum tunnel outside of the vitubium substance / chuubanite object. This is why, unlike with radioactive decay, the absolute amount of radiation of a chuubanite object is dependent on its surface area and the number of magic quanta in relation to that surface area, and not the number of vitubium particles present.
At most, it would be accurate to say that magic quanta are radioactive and even that is a bit of a stretch, but it works while vitubium itself isnt.

Naturally, as magic quanta are being destroyed at the edge of the chuubanite object, the vitubium particles near the edge start to become empty. To remedy this, magic quanta from deeper within the chuubanite object drift outwards (guided by magic quanta pressure), so that the amount of magic quanta within the object is as close to uniform as possible. There is probably a slight gradient with there being slightly more magic quanta at the center of the object than at the edges, but you should never encounter a chuubanite object where the edge of it is empty, while the core is full.

The world still has to reflect on how the board and thread behave. /MANS/ proabbly have more memes and such created regarding alchemy than /2434/. Well the operational process for expanding, at least at the moment, for VMS is to establish an office and hire locals to expand knowledge base and talent. It also helps knowing the local land to collect and study fungi.

VMS as a multinational fungi trading business can have its HQ anywhere, the VMS institute in /pcg/ might be the first but it's not the biggest nor the "Head" each institute elects a regional director. As far as alchemical production is concerned as 2434 is the first and only country hosting production of fungal alchemical creations Katrina is the head office for VMS acquisitions as far as it's concerned.

My only regret is that I'm missing on the potential trade deals being signed all the time while thinking of chuubanite. but at least I'll have some justification to gear Chronobanks towards magitech engineering and chuubanite research when i finally finish the company rentry.

This thread is unique though..... aside from nijien its hard to actually work with nijisanji chuubas because of the reasons i have stated... I cannot base much off thread culture because the main Nijisanji thread is on /jp/ and thats not /vt/...this is why I think KR is having problems too because their thread is dead a lot. I need to look over it again but I had the idea that a Catalognaut's ability to access the spiritual realm varies depending on the environment, the situation, and themselves. For example, a lunaito born catalognaut would probably be somewhat naturally proficient at using Candyification type abilities, but if that lunaito was not using them in the Candy Kingdom, they might not be able to use them as effectively as they would within its borders or in a place reminiscent to it like a candy shop. If that lunaito was also using their chuubanite in a way that corresponds with the concept of a lunaito, like protecting the weak or being honorable, then they would see it strengthen, now if the lunaito had been chewing a cube of sugar, they'd also see an increase of their abilities. There are probably some parts that could be ironed out about this, like how I haven't really gone into detail how a chuubanite based ability could be strengthened, but I am writing this out very quickly nanora as I am on break and am worried this will be counted as spam.

There's a lot about the minute life in /mans/ that has to be ironed out, that including among them. Something that I've considered is that nearly every village might have a 'guild hall' which is a very multi-purpose building that serves as the mayor's office as well as cheap lodging for travelers among other simple services.

Now I did say the importance of having a magical forest which can be done in shrublands to some degree. Risuners do constantly plant trees after all. After some research I did find something interesting regarding food. Western /risu/ is kind of like africa with all the wildlife around. Basically, you have the main chimney of the supervolcano at Mont Mori in the South, and the East is dominated by a ridge formed by a series of smaller volcanoes. If that's the only concern I'm not sure what was wrong with Clocks's suggestion about circuit batteries...? Blood is cooler though, I'll give you that. And having your alchemists draw extremely complex, arcane circuits entirely in their own blood really adds to the whole "inethical experiments, body horror and human experimentation" theme you were outlining early on. They could easily store up stockpiles for bigger projects and/or emergencies (and, of course, in the biggest emergencies there's always the option of just cutting open a vein). Maybe there's even some form of state-mandated blood donation for the regions run by Magmates? Like taxes. But for blood.

Blood replenishes much faster than mineral deposits or whatever, but it's not exactly something you'd be able to just get more of on demand either, so I don't think it would unbalance wars too much if you went with it.

Considering a natural ability to climb, it may be worth adding something to the hands, yes. Nothing major, but squirrels are noted to be better at climbing due to long claws and some longer fingers. Oh, and their hind legs are very flexible. But humans are already fairly dexterous at climbing when trained, so it’s possible that you really wouldn’t have to change that much. If you’re looking for squirrel speed, then we’d have to go for a much bigger redesign than you’d want.

Saw these posts while I was scrolling through for the magic quanta discussions. You absolutely can have more fantastical elements to your country, you know. If you want to go with the "chuubanite for every chuuba" approach your magic for each individual fanbase will be small in quantity. 2434 is pretty fuckall huge after all. You could easily have an entire city for every chuuba and still have tons of room to spare, especially if you split city location by gender to place cities for male chuubas in nijimale instead of 2434.

It's not the kind of stuff where you'd be able to go around making global trade deals or using it as overt shows of power, however, so it wouldn't be of interest to your merchant or navy factions. Since you've set things up with there being massive class divides and differences in lifestyle between the rich elites and the average citizen, I don't think that's necessarily a problem -- in fact it's probably better that way since it means you won't have to retcon all the work you've done up until now. This is worldbuilding on the micro scale. The lifestyles, cultures and habits of individual cities and clans vs the "interests of the nation" type of work you've been doing up until now.

tl;dr You can have your city of Ange-worshipping alchemists and your city of Amamiya-worshipping dragon tamers, but their magic and chuubanite products would be limited-quantity local specialties.

Anon, there are 21 regions. Even now as I'm reducing them, one of the medium sized one still has bloody 49 provinces. Compared to the UK which is roughly the same size which has 97 counties *total*. I really *really* need to simmer things down
