If there's a thing Hololive taught me is that made up lore doesn't mean shit, it's all about organically crafted stories through key moments or narrative arcs. The kensetsu war, Haachama's split personality schizo arc, the yubi collector, the oversleeping babas incident, Akirose's cinderella story. That's what creates engagement, and there is no shortcut money can buy for it.

The difference, I guess, is that VShojo aren't pushing kayfabe like Niji and Holo (kind of sort of) do. Council feels shackled to their lore and having to theme themselves around it, whereas the VSJ lore videos are an entirely separate thing from their streams and other content. It's basically an alt-universe. For example, VShojo is presented as an idol company in the lore despite that being nowhere near true.

Nyanners redebut was kino and her acting afterwards was on point too. 10/10, the golden standard for vshojo lore

Zen's was alright, I kinda expected more after Nyanners, it poorly tied her old identity into the lore and her TTS felt a little bit out of place but the story and worldbuilding was quite decent.

Vei's lore vid felt stretched out, half of it could be cut without losing any real information, it had some beautiful moments though.

Kson's felt a bit disconnected from the rest of the vshojo lore but it was quite good at making you feel emotional.
