unrelated, unimportant, but I wanted someone to know

I missed the King's Quest stream where kiki had to deal with Rumpelstiltskin, but everyone was complaining about the puzzle when I got home from work and saw the thread. I smugly said it was an easy riddle and I solved it even as a young kid, and someone called me out on it saying the name wasn't even spelled right in game and that seemed far-fetched. I was troubled. Aghast. I didn't know if my childhood memories were false and I was just talking BS or what. Maybe I had a different version of the game, a different build, something. In my shame and embarrassment I abandoned the thread and tried to forget about it.
For unrelated reasons, his name came up today and it reminded me, and I did a google search. I typed in "rumpLEstiltskin" because that's how I thought it was spelled, but then google asked me if I actually meant "rumpELstiltskin." The question was answered, and the problem was solved. I didn't know how the name was supposed to be spelled back in the day, I just knew how it sounded, and it sounded like three english words in sequence: "rumple," "stilt," and "skin." So that's how I spelled it (backwards).
I DID solve the riddle correctly as a child. Not because I was smart, but because I was dumb in the very specific way that the guy who wrote the puzzle was dumb. I'm gonna call that a win. Kind of.
