What is /asp/?

A thread for aspiring vtubers! Whether your goal is to make the journey as an independent streamer or to gain experience and build a portfolio for agency auditions. Let's help each other grow and make it. Indies are welcome to selfpost, but shill responsibly. Share your knowledge, insights, feedback, discuss what has worked and what hasn't worked for you. And always remember to do your research before posting personally identifying information. That includes both in this thread and in your audition applications to agencies.

The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

>Do you think there's an audience for X, Y, Z content?
First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

The odds of you actually fucking/dating a Vtuber are incredibly low, even if you yourself are a streamer, you'll struggle to get as many as ten views, and if you manage to break through that, you'll still need to actually find a reason to speak to a chuuba, and even if you manage to land a collab with someone, it's then a matter of somehow managing to be charming and likeable enough to get her genuine attention and affection. Thanks, thinking of something entertaining, but somewhat plot-heavy at the same time. Don't want to spoil anything, especially since I'm only thinking about doing it for now until I have the money and skills to start, but I'm thinking of viewing the whole thing as a sort of "interactive improvised theater" there would be jokes, collabs, and gaming streams, for sure, but I'd also try to sneak in as many lore bits as I could, building up and slowly unveiling an actual story, possibly involving some arg elements too.

Just a vent post. It’s been ages since I last saw a regular of mine and it’s destroyed me. My motivation to stream is an at all time low because I’ve lost what was essentially my biggest supporter, and the reason I’ve kept streaming up till now was to find someone else to fill that void. What can I say? He has a cool design, seems like a chill dude that can talk without leaving dead space nor being a motormouth, does not mumble and seems to be willing to improve. I can see him growing quite a bit in a year or so.
Another one I like is Bibi. She sounds pretty sweet, collected and only very slightly bratty, but she should speak more often. Although I only have one collab to judge and it might be because the more experienced chuubas were taking more space.

Not really, most successful people making the content they do as a male streamer would have little to no viewership without an anime avatar. Some content just doesn't "work" without the barrier nor is it something people are comfortable doing, the same goes for a lot of femchuubas as well. You really think Shylily or any other coomer baiting streamers would still be doing the cutesy lewd shit if they were facecamming, even if they were 10/10 attractive?
The only exception that comes to mind are people who really are just "Streamer with an anime avatar" and even then they likely wouldn't have gotten popular to begin with, just look at Kenji or Vei.
