If your answer is not at least "try out stuff as I find it, explore and fuck around" or you immediately read up in a wiki, you're missing out on a lot of fun. Yes it will save you time, but epiphanies, random shit going wrong etc. are potentially very enjoyable depending on what kind of player you are.
Me not knowing RUST either, I thoroughly enjoy the pioneering nature the server has. It's WAY better than ARK where Coco just told everyone how to play basically.

A lot of tech terms are in English so most languages simply adapt these words into their language since it can't be directly translated most of the time, nothing unusual in that.

A lot of tech stuff is in English for example, some older words have German/Dutch/French origins due to trading in the past (classic example is picrel). Sometimes they just mash some kanji together in a way that makes sense, sometimes they're just placeholders (ateji) to look fancier even if they don't make sense. Their language is generally a mess.
Related fun fact: Sometimes you will see Holomems refer to the Hololive Minecraft server as "ホロ鯖" (Horosaba=Holo mackerel). The kanji, that means mackerel, is used because it sounds similar to the Japanese pronunciation of "server" ="sa-ba/saaba" and so they sometimes replace it as a joke of sorts. I'm guessing autocorrect kept fucking people over and the mistake stuck as a meme. So if you see mackerel randomly mentioned in a tweet, keep in mind it might be because of this.

As much as I want this or Shuba. I still think Haachama. It would make sense because they have VARK. but she would be kinda a lame last guest reveal.
