She can, but she doesn't. Besides writing her own lyrics, she outsorces everything the same way Kiara does. But since she was more active in music production before her debut and she had a stellar first month, Mori can use her much larger connections to produce multiple songs at the same time with priority and J-Chad mostly handles that. To be honest, this is the crossroad, sure, you can take your time and release one original every 6 months, but if you actually like making music, then make sure every song you release is as good as possible. I'm actually asking, but, for Sololive, they're not using cover studio, are they ? I doubt the studio is close enough to the venue, so they have to be using an infrastructure inside the venue, considering that it's, well, live. So, what prevent them from doing a sololive outside of Japan?

It would be more correct to say they only "order" original music readymade, i.e. subcontract and outsource the actual writing/production of the music to professionals in the field, with only vague directions and input (like "I want a cute song", "make me a ballad" or "do something that's party-like" etc.). Hell, many of them don't even write their own lyrics, and order that from other people too. Their only contribution is mostly just at the end, when they hand in their vocal lines (performing a melody someone else wrote, singing lyrics someone else wrote, oh and their vocals then are often still so over-autotuned that they don't even sound like themselves in the end)

Both Watame and Okayu did/do their debut albums to be able to make a sololive. In fact, Kiara had comparable music output to Okayu a couple of months back, with both of them releasing a musical project roughly every two months ever since their debut. Also Okayu had 2 original songs to her name at the start of the year despite being a year longer in Hololive than Kiara. Aqua still doesn't have an album despite having a sololive already.
