Daily reminder than climate != biome. A lot of freshwater in the area could result in a savannah climate being more heavily forested than one might think.

>"map needs ot be changed again, i am not making any switches for a week"
That is clearly tongue in cheek, at least it should have been because I send in 5 maps in the previous thread of the same thing.
>i am trying to make phaseanon out to be the bad guy
No, no one said that. You are attacking me, not him. I absolutely tried to help you out, and if you don't think I did, that's up to you. Remember, you didn't want to withdraw until today, the change you asked for yesterday was to be moved to Heliopolis.

Stop thinking I am one person and I help those who kiss my ass. I helped meatbro and the Kronies and I don't even talk to them that much. It has nothing to do with companies, nor does it have to do with how I feel personally about you. You have a tendency to see the worst in me (I absolutely know this because of some of our past interactions and how you have commented I have somehow ruined worldbuilding by being serious.) so it is what it is.

Also one more thing, No one told you to hurry up. If you had read what phaseanon AND alice said, (I think I did too) we are waiting for other things to get fleshed out. You really didn't need to worry about this when Phase still needs its resources and economy set up and Alice doesn't even have the India Company either.

I don't know what I ever did to constantly upset you but I am sincerely sorry for it.

The WOSEBUD man is the epitome of male dominance and masculinity.

Let's start by looking at his body. His body is large. His domineering size makes his presence known without him even needing to point himself out. He is muscular, as a result of his high levels of testosterone. This gives him the appearance of health and strength. He is then covered by his wosey skin. This wosey skin reminds us of his ruggedness, a feature that developed due to being exposed to the scorching sun of da wose garden, made to withstand such an extreme condition. It also has a psychological effect on the observer. The wosey skin reminds us of our dark, deep desires that emerge from our primal subconscious past.

The WOSEBUD man's demeanor is one of alphaness. He is dominant, assertive, and can be explosively aggressive. His behaviour strikes fear into the more timid, cowardly races of man(SEA/Latinx/Balkan femboys)

The summit of expression of his masculinity on his body is his penis. The WOSEBUD penis is largest of all the races. As the penis is the penultimate symbol of manhood, this alone would suffice to make the WOSEBUD man the most masculine of men. This large penis is able fulfill the desire of the neediest of women, being able to more than fill all the recesses of the vagina. Its length ensures that when it ejaculates, the potent wose seed will immediately enter the womb of the woman the WOSEBUD man impregnates.

In total, the WOSEBUD man expresses this masculinity in a most exemplary manner in bed. When he fucks, he unleashes the entirety of his lusts and desires upon his partner without any restraint.

All this is the reason why the WOSEBUD man is the epitome of masculinity.

Oh yeah asking for help for your specific thread is fine, I just meant there shouldn't be an expectation that a biome map is made for the entire world, as that doesn't make as much sense as a worldwide climate map.

Well, they're never meant to be unilaterally binding, and people are free to disregard anything I say on the subject (something that I mentioned back when I still do it thread by thread), although sticking somewhat close to it would help making the world somewhat more consistent lest someone try to have a tropical tundra

Well, the thing about biome is that it's much more malleable by human (or near-human) actions, while climate zoning usually can't be changed as easily and as localised. This is most notable when it comes to forest and grassland - the former tend to get deforested when civilisation comes around, and the latter often see themselves turned into farmland if the land proves arable (then again, most food crops are grass too, so I guess they're still grassland)

>>29268918
I'll see what I can do when I have time. It would be nice if you can tag me with their latest maps if they've changed border recently (I got the phase one, but not the Lazulight and nijiEN one) most of nijiEN and half of Phase would basically be tropical forest tho

Yeah but Pomu chuubanite's (well or just any chuuba's) effects would be limited. If you have accelerated growth the other effects should also tie into it (well really just a theme for your chuubanite) somehow. But the accelerated growth would of course have unintended side effects as well. Maybe it also promoting the growth of weeds so a lot more man hours has to be invested to farm in Pomeriania.

I kind of have an idea for council's secret gift. I'm waiting to see what happens to /nasa/'s land first. There really isn't much I can ask for /nasa/ anymore because what"s the point? When the new general takes over /nasa/ land it could still have the same resources and environment but the chuubanite will be completely different.

fun fact, weeds is mostly a problem of what kinds of plants are in a garden. if you integrate all of the crops in your garden efficiently by using a bunch of different kinds of complimentary crops that take and leave different resources to and from the soil, then there shouldn't be enough room for weeds that are genuinely harmful for your garden to properly grow. agriculture is basically trying to create an environment that promotes a certain kind of growth over all the others, so a smart gardener can effectively automate weed-killing by simply making their garden inhospitable to crops he would consider weeds.

Might be a bit late of a response, but I was reading back and saw this caught in archive diving too so I'll respond for good measure.
The artifact mentioned there is by no means final and I wasn't sold on such a thing in the first place, just something I was gonna keep noted down. I do admit the poison was a bit of a stretch though.
As for the hivemind, I figured a modicum of suspension of disbelief could be applied, but the main logic behind it was that Kenzoku are very easily (at least, in the thread) influenced by other Kenzoku. As a result, I've long thought of it as a type of hivemind where each one's thoughts are easily passed onto another, and thus, wrote around that as the basis for it. If you dislike the suspension of disbelief, it could be thought of as a natural deposition to listen to other Kenzoku's thoughts and share them to others.

While those kinds of knowledge would most likely exist in Pomeriania or just any nation in Vitubia, for intensive farming which is important for organised society, I don't think the same principle can apply. i said it was possible through the conceptual realm. connections is a good concept to base your thread around, and it could definitely be used to give you a hivemind of sorts, but it might not be as potent at actually healing as you might want, not that it couldn't be useful for healing, just that it would be more like a bandage if it were. that was more or less what i was saying.

maybe, but i would have figured that using the more efficient methods if they were known would be better, since you could get more quality food quicker if you do it right, and i figure automation would be especially important to people who know their labor is constantly needed elsewhere, but if that is how it makes sense to you, so be it i suppose.

I would need to read up on that method you mentioned but it sounds like you need to mix different kinds of plants in the same environment to achieve that effect, and when you need to farm acres upon acres of land, you would probably want to only manage one kind of crop. Having different kinds of plants all mixed up would also present a problem when harvesting I presume. I admit I don't know shit about farming but intensive farming(not the >19th century kind so no automation, all done by humans or beasts of burden) should be a whole different beast compared to managing a garden.

>>29270227
I'll work on that, eh, soon, alongside the niji ones once I have time to do that. For climate, a very rough estimate is that the northern half of Phase would be tropical forest, and as you go further south away from the Equator, the forest gradually becomes thinner, with the space in between being filled with grass and shrubs. The transition is probably more significant near the coast due to the cold ocean current there, and in places like Thema Magisseia, it probably will be dry enough to become semi-arid scrubland.

it's called permaculture, and the aztecs did it with the three sisters. it was partially mentioned in /meat/'s lore. i can assure you, permaculture is both simpler, and more efficient than monoculture, and it isn't nearly as difficult to harvest as you might think, depending on how the gardener sets stuff up. by automation, i don't mean the excessive use of machines, unless you are wise enough to realize how little difference there really is between nature and technology. i mean using the natural biology of crops to alter the nutrients in the soil to advantage the desired crops. the three sisters is a great example of complimentary crops, consider looking them up, but know that those kinds of interactions can be made far more complex than that, and that the three sisters are only so well known due to the fact that they just work too well with each other.

that might make it a bit hard to explain how it would be so ubiquitous in a culture, unless these seers had control over literally everything in the economy which would present a whole new batch of problems, we would bdo well to avoid. it's true many people follow cultural norms without necessarily knowing why, though, so as long as the how is kept mostly among more specialized/qualified individuals as in the manufacturers or even just the people who write the language, it should be easy for the average person to abstract away all the little details until it basically is completely overlooked.

Reading through a bit of the Wikipedia articles regarding permaculture and the cultivation of three sisters. Although the three sisters are certainly effective it of course would depend on what kind of plants are locally available. Companion farming is apparently done in ancient China too but I'm not sure of the scale it is done in. Either way it would also depend on some cultural factors IMO whether or not you adopt such kind of agriculture. Permaculture is apparently very modern and it's a bit controversial. But I can see some companion farming done both with real life crops and maybe some fantasy ones. Thanks for the reading material.

onobots also usually don't bother explaining why they do things they do and the people have jsut accepted that as a way of life in the retro reich, they do good and help people and in return they get to bumble about as they see fit.

because your explanation would be a bit harder due to the strong individual nature of the nation and the fact that stuff is less manufactured en masse and isntead more by thousands of workshops with vast array of different beliefs and styles ect.

it's adoption in western culture is pretty modern, but it was being done a few hundred years ago, so idk if it deserves such a title. no matter where you go, you'll find a few combinations that would work together, unless plants start to work based on a completely different biochemistry all of the sudden, which might be possible with the inclusion of chuubanite.

>because your explanation would be a bit harder due to the strong individual nature of the nation and the fact that stuff is less manufactured en masse and isntead more by thousands of workshops with vast array of different beliefs and styles ect.
decentralized trends tend to emerge after a while in individualistic societies. centralization tends to create problems for individualism and are rarely effective at organically spreading through a culture. there are a bunch of ways for culture to spread in a decentralized manner, you need only look to memes to see how powerful they can be. i think you might be underestimating how easy it would be to get a bunch of people to do that kind of thing, or how hard it would be for a single group of people to force that culture onto other people, but i guess there is a chance that people in the retroreich have had centralized power be somewhat normalized with all the onobots taking control over everyone, so i can understand how your solution might not be as difficult for you as it would be for others. just maybe consider my idea, too, if you want.

but yeah the "go with the flow" attitude in regards to the onobots is very strong in the retro reich since they might do a lot of weird things but they usually do it with good intent and try to be helpful and protective of their humanoids. the hank hill faction may or ma ynot spreading hopium and copium among the population might also make them more easygoing overall but those are just rumours of course

do you know how to make a computer from scratch? with the internet, you have access to that kind of information, but if you were trying to make something relatively simpler in a similarly simpler era, do you think it would be so easy to access the necessary information to access such knowledge. sure, the people who do it might know exactly why they do it, and they might have no intention to not tell as many people as they can about it, but most people don't care, so they won't pay attention, which means they won't know. all you need to do is make a culture that is ripe for that kind of mindset.

ya, those are pretty good reasons, too, but it's worth keeping in the back of your head the question of why a cultural trend started in the first place. i said that having a single group try to force culture onto a people was difficult, but there are ways an individual can make something spread through culture, and that is by spreading awareness of an idea that is effective or memorable enough to last. a mind-virus of sorts that richard dawkins called a "meme" in his book "the selfish gene", hence why i used that as an example earlier. you could have an onobot popularize it, and then have other people naturally decide to copy the idea and work on it to make it their own until it becomes a ubiquitous aspect of the culture.

i would say since our workshops have diverse backgrounds at one point in time a tribe that either migrated into the reich or got absorbed by it brought this technique with them.
have their workshop funded by the onobots,
onobots get curious about this and like that it marks people in a unique way wich is super helpful for them to better identify them for less space on their memory.
spread it around their other workshops they own too.
more workshops across the nation spread this and people adopt to it and like it because it makes is handy and also makes the glyph have them be more "uniquely you" wich people always like, even more so in a nation that emphasises on individuals.
workshop of non-onobot owned factions or individuals see more people wantign this, branch out and pay to learn the art so they can compete and also offer it.
now its even more available and even more people take it.
once it has spread enough onobots push for a law with no real pushback because its already accepted, for it to be mandatory for chuubanite item registration to prevent theft and help in solving crimes carried out by them.

yup, that's how it typically goes. i was thinking about bringing up the fact that the technique itself relies on the interactions of glyphs, and therefore could be used by any other culture that wanted to, but you seem to understand that part. with that said, i am not sure how easily i could put that into the rentry, or whether or not i even should.
similar to the /meat/ tattoos, this is a natural function of glyphs and activator substances if you understand how they are supposed to work, and yet i can't help but want to archive all the different ways you can use this magic system to help people figure out how to get these more complex interactions to work the way the want it to.
for now, just know that it is possible for any culture to use glyphs to identify specific contexts such as people and situations, which allows for more complex chuubanite interactions to be possible.

that's not how it would work in this setting if we keep our current set up. all the magic works in the conceptual realm, and identifying emotions without a complex system that can observe and interpret those emotions would require magic, yet emotions don't exist in the same waay in the conceptual realm as they do in the physical one, so there needs to be a mechanism for them to work through. glyphs is one such mechanism.

Paragraphsanon, you always do this. You think you're the one being all rational and scientific, trying to keep the magic from going out of control, but the issue is you're not being scientific enough. With enough science, anything is possible.
I'll elaborate on my two ideas.
Chuubanite reacts to fluctuations in the magic quantum field, and interacts with the EM quantum field. Brainwaves are nothing more then electrical fields that follow specific patterns. Having types of chuubanite which react to those patterns is perfectly allowable within the current system.
A variety of emotions are correlated with the secretion of hormones in the human body. Those hormones have specific molecules associated with them. The chuubanite binding and reacting to those molecules is perfectly allowable with the current system.
No need to get mind-reading magic involved.

But once I laboriously extracted an actual understanding of it from him, it's really a very good fit for our purposes. It's vague in a way that enables the writers to be creative without having to fuss too much about metaphysics. The issue is just communicating those metaphysics to people who want to understand them, which is what comfy's work is improving.

the problem isn't over how scientific it is, it's over how you would be able to communicate your desires through the conceptual realm. those structures exist on a different scale from the kind of thing chuubanite would naturally be able to work with, so even if the conceptual realm could respond to it, it wouldn't know what to do with it. more importantly, all that information would be destroyed passing through the conceptual realm because everything is broken down into it's base parts. there is no space or time, so unless the relation between two things is clearly described by the chuubanite and the things that directly, physically interact with it, not to mention the base concepts themselves such as is the case with /towa/, it can't be done with the same level of ease.

So the issue isn't interfacing with emotions, but interfacing with the desire for magic that leads to the spell or whatever? Wouldn't having each chuubanitic interaction result in a specific magical result solve this?
For example, /meat/ chuubanite meets an animal cell. With no need for glyphs, the regeneration of the cell is boosted: The magical outcome of the interaction is encoded in the cell, from the chuubanite's point of view.
With /vrt/ chuubanite, each magical outcome would be associated with a particular emotional input: X brainwave associated with anger encodes Y magical outcome for the chuubanite. This way, all the information is contained on the side of the Vitubian realm.

so lets say that chuubanite had an activator substance in the form of a specific neurotransmitter in a specific region of the brain, that would be possible, but activating the chuubanite in the brain might not be a good idea. chuubanite is naturally capable of a few very specific interactions, the ones stated in the rentry, they can't have unique effects, governed by different concepts so easily. if you wanted the same chuubanite structure to interact differently for literally every different person, in every different situation, then you would need a complex system to communicate how exactly you want it to work in any given situation. no, you couldn't simply do that with neurotransmitters alone, in fact, the advantage glyphs have over activator substances is chiefly the fact that it can be programmed with more accuracy like this, so yes, complex interactions like that would most likely require glyphs. with that said, if i ever implied that you could not have neurotranmitter activator substances, then i apologize, because that wasn't what i meant to say. if this situation were that simple, it wouldn't have been a problem in the first place, most likely.

I guess /vrt/anon should clarify what kind of magic he envisions happening. I agree that if that level of customizability is desired, that would be difficult. A given sets of inputs should have a given set of outputs, with no need for extra information, so to speak. Extra info would need to be communicated with glyphs or others, as you say. I'm glad we agree on the neurotransmitter being a potential activator substance front, now that the idea has come up I think it would be neat if a thread ended up using it.

I don't know anything about 2434 because I don't watch Niji or use Niji threads, but just off what you've said here about there not being many translators so EOPs having to be happy with what they get, you could make the chuubanite good at locating objects or something. Like, its function is to find more of whatever activator substance comes into contact with it. Not saying this is what it has to do,, just giving an example. This is a matter of just being creative imo which you have admitted you are not good with. Didn't comfyanon say he uses 2434 sometimes? Since he is also one of the chuubanite anons I'm sure he will be able to give more ideas whenever he returns if Alice wants his help with it.

you can get more creative than that. plus, it's supposed to be a core concept that differentiates you from others. being nympho isn't much of a core concept outside of /horni/ and maybe /risu/ in a disparaging sort of way.
>>29286504
thread culture is the deciding factor ultimately, but what that means is different for every thread. it's possible for a chuuba to be so core to the concept of a thread that it might as well be like that, but at the center of how our system works is thread culture.

The Badlands are the Badlands because it's resource-poor. There are no stones for castles, and the soil is crap for farming. If it wasn't, it would be called the Goodlands.

Alright. A castle takes time, resources, planning, people. It gets a lot harder to organize all of that when there are essentially monsters all over the land you’re trying to build on. Imagine you and a group of friends trying to put together a Lego Death Star while a guy is shooting paintballs at you.

While I understand your take Panon, your bias towards conventional fighting with humans makes it very difficult to communicate these matters with you. Even if I attempted to explain why it wouldn’t be “not even close”, you would fail to grasp a proper understanding of what I’m saying.

Just understand, this is a collaborative project where you have to give some leeway to other people not agreeing with your very strong opinions if you want all this to work. Like, yes, it's plausible that you could settle the North of /rose/ (though it seems illogical, given it's not done already for some reason), but if the writer for that region wants it to be unsettled and filled with schizos, and it's equally plausible for that region to be a shithole, then you should respect that.
