The English-speaking virtuals section is full of dead links. the NSFW fanfic section doesn't need to exist. Several bits are interesting for chuubas, but the thread is primarily for viewers.

I agree with the other anon that the vshojo/holoEN doesn't need to be included, and desu anything more about the thread favorites than what's already in the ghostbin isn't really needed. 1 - Don't post personal information on social media. Names, addresses, selfies, photos with exif data still attached, etc. If you're posting irl photos, take it, sleep on it, and recheck it in the morning for reflections and shit.

2 - Use a separate email address solely dedicated to your vtuber identity that will serve as a nexus for all your accounts.

2.5 - Use a separate browser entirely for your personal life and your vtuber life. I use Firefox for personal use and my vtuber is a scrub who uses Microsoft Edge. This ensures zero possibility of an auto-fill, bookmark, or even social media account logged in yab. (Don't import settings from one to the other, obviously).

3 - Create a fresh Steam account and use the Steam Family Share feature to access games that are already installed on your computer (that you own on your Main). There will be no way to connect your new Steam account to your old account as Steam does not reveal Family Share status (unless you're screencapping the actual Steam window itself, which... why would you ever do that?)

4 - Write down a completely generic and random name that's not associated with you or anyone you know. Day[9]'s was "Felicity." Write that name on a stickynote and stick it on your monitor's bottom bezel. Whenever you tell a story about "someone", you're going to reference "Felicity" (or whatever other name). This is here to help you avoid naming real life people you know.

5 - Google search "Your Name" + "City". You'll find that there's like 20 different 'public info' database websites. They all have methods on opt-ing out and removing your data. Doesn't mean the data is gone, just means that the particular website you requested data removal from won't make it so obviously easy.

OneRep is a website that collects (almost) all of the public records websites. This is going to suck, but you're gonna go through every one of those and follow the Opt-Out procedure for each and everyone of them. (To be fair, this level of opsec only really applies if you're super paranoid or win the lottery in a non-anonymous winner state)

the streamer can tell (1) the username and (2) the exact time stamp, of a clip (even if the clip was ultimately not published), regardless of whether it's through a VOD or live.

this means that, if you, as a viewer, goes back to watch a VOD and try to clip a segment of that VOD for whatever reason (ex. you think they said a bad word, or maybe they revealed some yabai information). the streamer gets a notification of your specific username, trying to make a clip of a specific time frame in the VOD. Twitch also has a big problem with transcoding (some streams may be only watchable at the highest quality available so if you have shitty internet, good luck)
VODs are only kept for two weeks (and if you play anything copyrighted it gets muted on the part you played it)
so most twitch streamers will have a VOD channel on youtube

Yeah the way bits work is imagine donating 100 bucks on youtube, Susan takes 30 dollars from it and the chuuba only gets 70. Bits put the fee on the donator instead of the streamer so 100$ in bits means 100$ go to the streamer, and the Bezo's fee only applies to YOU when you buy bits.

Long jewpost coming in on how to better financially support your oshi on twitch. Hope it doesn't seem like I'm just trying to get you guys to dump cash on me, don't worry, I don't post here anyway. Also none of this matters if you're the type to just donate cash so skip it if so.

This. Amazon Primes can be a HUGE deal as you're growing, it's why any smart streamer that's how a good amount of views will bring it up to the point it becomes a meme. It's not only free along with your twitch prime membership, but more people have it t han even realize and taxes aren't taken out of it unlike a normal sub, so the streamer receives the full 2.5. If you're got even just 30 viewers and even 10 of them have twitch prime available to them, reminding them in a non-annoying way can mean the difference between you and 25 bucks.

If there' a doc about supporting your oshi on Twitch, can someone add something about Bits being better than Subs outside of things like subathons and only subathons to partners. subs post-partner are really only good for unlocking emotes and thats easier done during a subathon so its best to wait til those to participate in gift subbing over bit giving.

If you gift a sub, it costs you about 5.40 I think 500 bits costs 7 dollars. Assuming you don't wanna doxx yourself with Paypal or just don't want to give cash for whatever reason, a streamer will get more financial support from bits. They'll receive 500 bits which equals 5 dollars to them with on cut to Twitch whereas a gift sub will cost you 5.40 and get them about 2.40. I've never brought this up to my viewers because im worried it'd make me seem ungrateful for their support, but I myself give bits over subs for this specific reason. So if you're financially able to support your Oshi, it's best done through either cash or bits.

Another thing to note is that dropping bits, donos, gift subs, etc over time instead of all at once is a good way to encourage others to do so. I've definitely triggered others into some herd mentality by just gifting 500 bits once, then again maybe 10 minutes later. People like to participate and I think it helps spread out the good mood the streamer gets put in (mostly because I experience this myself) because the original use for bits was to be a "cheer", so the mentality is that it's like giving your oshi a round of applause. Instead of 10k bits or big sub bombs for you oilers to dump all at once, dropping it in spurts of 500 or 1000 over the course of the stream I think helps put them in a better mood and for all you groomers out there, i think it makes it seem like you're giving more than you are.

Made a couple of these too some time ago. Giving Kongou Haohmaru's style is such a good fit. I gave Koopa Cervantes for the hot pink gun, Nina Amy with the wand weapon, Carmine Zasalamel because scythes are the chuuni weapon of choice, Rose Astaroth with the stone axe, and Neko initially 2B but swapped to Groh with the katana weapon because her character supposedly dual wields those.

Leon and Alice are a pair of sibling chuubas. While leon is /here/, his sister is a total normalfag. The unique thing about them is they're less like permanent-collabs and more like one of them plays the vidya and the other just do whatever and focuses on chat. I suppose it simulates the experience of hanging out in your friend's house while his sister in the same room polishing her nails or something.
