Remember that if you're not enjoying being a Vtuber you can stop at any time. Any viewers you might have will find a chuuba that can fill any void left by you. If you're a 2view you probably don't have enough viewers to leave a noticeable impact on anyone so if you stay a 2view you always have an out.

I mean, Grimmi or Alice Sawyer aren't purely horror themed chuubas for example, but even when they're playing regular games or doing other content or just not acting like horror characters in general, they still feel like their models and aesthetics fit and represent them rather than being something that was put together before they were assigned them, if that makes sense.

You can spend hours, days, w/e on something for stream but if it's not entertaining or attention grabbing then no one will check it out other than your base viewers. By the same token, having nothing prepared or doing zatsudans/react andys only works if your regulars enjoy your insights and commentary. It's trolling. On the backdesk I'm known to troll. That means by definition, I say inflammatory words with the sole intention of making others angry. There is actually a time and place in life for this behaviour, and it's places like /b/ and /trash/. That's literally the correct place for this.

In this case, I was being barraged with insults by other trolls, and I decided to counter-troll by supporting the threads biggest schizo, who on this day, was on an unusually chaotic rampage shredding the thread with 100+ rageposts. Amused by his dedication, I decided to ally with him in efforts to counterattack the people who were insulting me upon my arrival. Among other frames of context, I used the "trolling is a art" to give away my hand before saying that sentence.

The humour value is found in the success of the troll, which I will undoubtedly be hearing about for weeks to come; and the eagerness I demonstrated to form an alliance with a feral schizo for the most mundane purpose of counterattacking other trolls who simply insulted me. It's like going to school and some girls make a snarky comment as they pass by in the hall, so you blow up the sewers and flood the school with sewerage. Just a horribly unexpected, inappropriately severe, over-reaction for the most mundane comments which any decent person would've otherwise ignored. An element of humour is in the disproportion. An additional element of humour is in the fact I did this all on purpose, it's not "me", rather I was just being ironic.

BUT. That's just me answering your question. I am explaining how there was humour. I still regret what I said and take those words back. If I lived again, I wouldn't have done it. I hope that makes sense.
